The ICE guys were yelling at her to "get out of here".

The were giving her a lawful order to get out of the vehicle. The wife tried to get in the car so they both could leave. The driver sped away leaving her wife on the street because she was trying to hit the ICE agent with her car.

Can you point out what specific part of the video shows here trying to hit the agent?

They're just making shit up at this point. Every single released video clearly shows this woman was driving away, but MAGA demands you ignore your eyes, ears, and common sense.

ICE has no authority in the enforcement of traffic laws, therefore they were NOT giving her a “lawful” order.

According to NBC’s analyst of the most recent video, yes she was obligated to follow the command to get out of the car.

Oh, MAGA says that…interesting.

I think MAGA is coming to understand that none of the attempted spins are working.

She said it in a very snide tone. But honestly, I think her wife is the once who escalated it and holds most of the responsibility. How stupid can you be to block in law enforcement and then belittle and insult them?

So is the moral here that we can kill people who approach us with a snide tone? Trump is snide all the time. Vance is too. In fact, this entire admin is snide. So, it seems logical that snideness is more than acceptable in the US.

And here's the other thing. ICE is not acting like a legitimate law enforcement agency. They are acting like gestapo. Period. And American people, the ones who studied history, are unwilling to just let this gestapo agency haul people off the way the Nazis did. Americans are laying down their lives, putting themselves in danger for others. ICE entered school property in Minneapolis and tear gassed students and teachers. Students and teachers!!! Grown men did this.

My husband and I, who are as anti gun as possible, talked last night about getting a gun. This doesn't end peacefully. Either congress is going to step up and get rid of this entire administration or Americans are going to end up at war with each other. I don't see any other way out of this. I don't want this to be the case, but since it appears we don't really have a functioning congress anymore, I think this ends in civil war.

Then you should beg your Democrat mayors, attorneys general, & governors to cooperate with ICE by handing over illegal aliens who end up in their courts & jails. This is all preventable, but Democrats WANT it to be messy & bloody.

So this was suicide by cop in an effort to become a martyr? That's your position?

yes, dem leadership is sacrificing their own.

Sure Vlad. This mom of 3 had just finished dropping off her 6 yo at school. She wasn’t trying to get killed. She was just trying to get away from a trigger happy fool ICE guy.

No, she was parked horizontal to the curb, and her wife was filming and verbally taunting. You may agree with that behavior, but it's what they were doing.

Yep. That horizontal parking always puts fear of imminent death in me! Combine that with some mean words and boy-howdy! Out comes the shootin' iron, ain't that right ma?

In the video she is not parked, she is backing up first with her wheels turned to the left, then turns the wheels to the right to move out. And her wife told the officers they have their license plate so they can come talk to them later. Sounds completely like the intention was to LEAVE.

It doesn’t look like they plan to leave until the wife starts yelling DRIVE as one officer has hands in/on her car door telling her to get out and the other is walking in front of her car. The wife isn’t even in the car…so no, it isnt apparent they were about to leave until she suddenly starts driving. The officer on the other side looks like he is getting dragged. It wasn’t just the one in front in danger

The only danger that the other officer was in was the possibility of errant shots from Jonathan Ross's murder weapon.

ICE has no authority to enforce traffic laws, therefore she was not obligated to follow an unlawful command issued by an unidentified man with zero authority to issue it.

But no credible analyst is going to stake their career on saying the penalty for not obligating the command is a double tap to the head at pointblank range. But that's what happened.

The vast majority of people ICE has deported this past year had zero criminal history. They were hurting no one.

Are they even taking illegals or just anyone regardless of citizenship? To my understanding, the Somalis in MN are 80% citizens. It seems to me ICE is going to slow launch to detain all anti Trump people, start denaturalization processes (removing citizenship from immigrants just because). Birthright citizenship will also end. Liberal white people who push back on Trump will also be detained. Then, the final piece will be any critics of Israel will be detained. Laura Loomer has hinted at it.

This is the Stephen Miller/Donald trump handbook.

Hey, I'm a doctor, and I get a lot more than that in the ER many days. If someone spits in my face AND belittles and insults me, is it still professional for me to choke them out?

DP.

Nope, but if they do something that you reasonably believe imminently endangers your life, and you have no other option, you’re entitled to defend yourself.

Such as stepping backwards?

Moreover, if a patient has previously been abusive towards you, that obviously impacts a reasonable person’s assessment of what constitutes threatening behavior.

So while her actions prior to moving the car obviously do not independently justify the shooting, they actually are relevant to whether the shooting was justified.

You mean when she tells him, "I'm not mad at you?"

That’s part of it (pointing to fault on his part), but so is her partner’s hostility, her hostility, and her failure to obey their commands.

Exceptionally complex situation. Facts supporting both “sides”, as is usually the case IRL.

Failure to obey commands?
This is not a police state. ICE doesn’t have unfettered authority to issue commands. ICE’s task is to enforce immigration laws. That’s it.

The correct place to argue that is in court, not during a tense confrontation with federal agents in the middle of a street.

And again, the point here is that it’s legally relevant to determining reasonableness.

Ok, when will we see charges and the start of the investigation?

No idea, but an independent investigation is exactly what serious people should be demanding.

Agreed.

Also a pause in operations in the area

There’s also reports she had a gun with her in the car!!

Well, that makes sense because her deceased husband was in the Air Force!

So she would have access to his gun. This doesn’t look good on her.

Did they see her with a gun? Otherwise this is completely irrelevant to the discussion whether the officer acted in self defense. Personally, I think it’s stupid to carry a gun around in your car, but this is not a reliable
indicator of criminal conduct in the US. Millions of Americans carry guns around in their car. I know many people that do this.

So she keeps a gun in her car while driving her kid to/from school???

I thought you folks didn’t approve of that sort of thing.

I think the problem may be the “you folks” mentality that you have, painting everyone of a certain group with an inaccurate broad brush. Likely because your circle of interaction is insular.

Quite the opposite, actually. But the evident hypocrisy in this instance clearly warranted snark.

You have no idea who is responding to which post. It's all anonymous, loser. Any hypocrisy is made up in your pea brain little head. FFS.
