Do parents really think the best coach wins this award? It is political and coaches of lesser teams gang up on the better ones.

There was a lot going on with that play. The biggest take away, there were 2 egregious fouls by the Madison players. Both fouls have been "points of emphasis" by USA lacrosse rules. The push in the back and the horizontal stick by the defensive player in front of her.

If I remember right, two years ago, didn't a Madison/Oakton game have a Madison player throwing a ball and hitting Oakton's POY in the face/head causing her to miss the rest of the game?

If the best coach in the Concord won the award it still wouldn’t have been the Madison coach. SL coach or Oakton coach are probably the best coaches in that district. Madison has a ton of talent and has been a powerhouse but the coach seems to be trying to coast on those things. SL coach has turned that program around to win a district championship last year and beat Madison this season. Oakton coach also seems to be getting his team to play at a high level and out coached Madison last night even if they lost

The Oakton girl that got hit in the head was lost in the crease when the player caught the ball, turned and shot and unfortunately hit the Oakton player. Had there been time to call it was clear shooting space violation against a wayward defender

I don't understand the constant woodson talk. Screwed by a semi-final loss? They have been outscored by nearly 50 goals and have a 6-11 season record. The are in the position they are in because they are not strong team this year. The fact that anyone thinks they could get to states is amazing. The fact is, the region is so weak, it is possible.
