Madison surely feels hollow after fouling with intent to injure player provides them with a path to "victory". No wonder madison coach lost the COY award.
I didn’t see the game so I’m not sure what happened but saying a high schooler fouled with intent to injure that player is a horrible rumor to start. Also keep in mind that it was raining yesterday so just because it looked weird could’ve been caused by a stick slipping or not having balance footing on the turf. Either way it wasn’t shocking to me Madison coach didn’t win COY award
There was a lot going on with that play. The biggest take away, there were 2 egregious fouls by the Madison players. Both fouls have been "points of emphasis" by USA lacrosse rules. The push in the back and the horizontal stick by the defensive player in front of her. If I remember right, two years ago, didn't a Madison/Oakton game have a Madison player throwing a ball and hitting Oakton's POY in the face/head causing her to miss the rest of the game?
