That’s how I feel about them too. Trying to treat parents like terrorists, limiting their ability to address school boards and trying to keep them from having any say in their children’s education.

Lifelong Democrat. Voted last week for Youngkin. Something is really wrong with the current Dem party.

LOL, yeah right. No "lifelong Democrats" are voting for Youngkin.

Why do you guys support threats against our elected officials? Is it because you don't believe in our democracy, in our country? Or is it because you've been brainwashed by Fox News and Facebook? Who are the real sheep?

Well the real sheep are the people who are too lazy to get involved in their children's education. From my experience as a PTA president at the elementary and middle school level, there are many of those parents in heavily liberal areas like Arlington. I am not sure some of them even know there is a school board. They just buy a house in a white school district and get tutors to push their kids through to either a legacy spot at their alma maters or to a decent state school.

I agree. He's a liar, as has been proven over and over.

All politicians are liars, but compared to Y and the trumpies, McAuliffe is honest. I don’t vote for traitors.

Do you appreciate how ridiculous this sounds?

Oh - and he supports Trump.

He is also an American citizen who is allowed to have views different from other people.
If you have opposite views you can support someone who shares your views.

Ain’t America grand!

Are there any good local journalists or data scientists who are drilling into the polling, early voting patterns, etc

Anyone to follow on Twitter?

DP. Yes, that’s why pp was explaining their reasons for supporting McAuliffe over Youngkin. 🙄

Isn't this the poll site DCUM loves? Doesn't seem like that PP was lying.

LOL. Last week FoxNews was +4 McAuliffe. A 12 point shift in a week? At least TRY to make it look realistic.

It’s a poll for “entertainment”.

Unrealistic is McAuliffe hiring a law firm to challenge the 2021 election before it even happens.

Anonymous wrote:We've seen Democrats do a lot of damage locally when they were in complete control of local government. From what I've seen, Youngkin has less of a "to the victor goes the spoils" attitude than McAuliffe. Having a single party dominate both state and local government is not a good situation; it leads to bodies like local schools boards that are echo chambers representing only one point of view, while others feel completely ignored and excluded from the process. We need a mix of perspectives, along with officials who can serve as checks and balances to each other.

This. Thank you. You have perfectly explained my Youngkin vote. The echo chamber is getting scary.

+ infinity

Same here.
