Republicans have zero interest in passing any border policy, they would much rather use it as a weapon. Even if Biden said today, I'll sign the House bill, they would find a way to not get it passed. I almost want Biden to very vocally announce he'll support their bill and watch them scramble.

Neither party has any interest in passing effective immigration reform or legislation to fund an effective measure to secure our border. There is no quick and easy solution to those problems that politicians or parties can tout when campaigning for the next elections. Does anyone seriously think a GOP or Democratic politician is going to waste their time and political capitol trying to pass a spending bill that may decades later bear some fruit that will boost their legacies after they are dead?
