This episode is cringey, my goodness why? |
Honestly Golden Girls is better than this. |
Holy hell. I cannot look at Amanda and Che anymore. WTF? Horrible. |
Kristin Davis cannot act. It is painful. |
not surprising. Golden Girls is amazing. |
I usually don’t like the Carrie storylines but the stuff today with Seema/Enid/Bitsy/Gloria Steinem (!!!!) was good. I’m always busy looking for glimpses of the original show and the running away from the lady with the walker was one. And it’s so original SATC Carrie to be dumb enough to not realize she was being hit up to help a startup. |
^^^ Me again Miranda is effing hopeless if she can’t speak up about what’s going on with her and Steve, or that she disapproves of Brady bailing on college, while they’re in a family therapy session, FFS. |
Evan Handler is a Broadway-caliber actor reduced to doing kegels for laughs.
Oh, my. |
What is surprising is how SJP and the others are acting as if they are still in their 20s/30s instead of their 50s/60s. They should look to golden girls for actual age appropriate storylines. |
Their storylines don't seem age-inappropriate to me. They seem very age appropriate. The show has plenty of flaws, and is a shadow of the original SATC's first few seasons - but I don't think the characters are behaving like they are 20 in any way. |
Can we please be done with the Bitsy cameos? Enid, too, please. It would be more fun to have glimpses of past guest stars that are more surprising. Even without Samantha's presence, wouldn't it be nice to have a glimpse of Smith, for example? Or Trey? Just well-written bits, not actual arcs. |
I have trouble getting past joe mean those women are to Kim. Seeing their interviews in her cameo was painful to watch. Would be better if SJP admitted she wasn’t nice and worked to do better. A lot of people could relate this this.Good for her for standing up for herself. |
It is kind of ridiculous to me that SJP and the others can't at least acknowledge something like "yeah, we can see why Kim felt like an outsider and there probably is more we could have done to include her." I think to some degree her outside status on the set was an accident of age and career (SJP and Nixon were longtime friends, and Davis was the same age and fit in with them personality-wise more) and not an intentional slight. But I also think an adult who'd worked with someone for many years should be able to acknowledge "hey, that probably was frustrating for her and maybe we could have gone about it better." Their refusal to even acknowledge Kim's feelings or why role both in front of the camera and behind the scenes felt unkind to her just strikes me as catty, mean girl behavior. Also, the thing where SJP tried to publicly offer condolences to Kim regarding her brother and Kim was like "no, we're not friends." I was fully on Kim's side on that one. If your relationship with someone is on the rocks, or even if you haven't spoken to them in a long time and don't know why, it is manipulative to perform this closeness to them on social media. If you want to reach out, you do so privately so that they can respond in an honest way. I thought that was really tacky of SJP and I'm glad Catrall called it out. |
Bitsy fit into this episode perfectly IMO even though I felt she was shoehorned into the last one. If LTW’s husband runs for city comptroller, can he go up against John Slattery in the primary? Just putting that out into the universe. |
Not just reasonably attractive, but #3 on the MILF list The fillers are insane. They are a good PSA for avoiding fillers, no matter how tempting. |
