538 gives Biden a 57% chance of winning GA. They give him a better chance of winning AZ, NC, and FL. Fingers crossed... |
And NYT/Siena says that Biden has a small but durable lead in NC. It's likely that news outlets will be able to call NC and FL by Wednesday morning. Wouldn't it be nice for Biden to win those and be able to enter the transition period less than a week from now? |
I could weep for relief at the thought of it knock wood |
I feel it slipping away.... Ugh! |
Nice is an understatement!!! |
Based on what? We try to cite data in this thread. |
The big concern for Florida right now, is that Miami-Dade is not turning out in large numbers, for early voting. Hopefully that will change on Tuesday. I would never pin my hopes on Florida, though. I'm sure they'll find new and interesting ways to eff everything up. |
I believe Texas also starts counting votes before Election Day, so results should be timely there as well. The states with laws that require waiting until Election Day to start counting early and mail-in votes really need to rethink that. It messes with voters' perception of legitimacy. We are too conditioned to expect results right away. |
Must be a Trump supporter. |
I think (but don't know for sure) this is the fault of GOP legislatures in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin that refused to allow processing or counting to start early, while other states made changes due to the pandemic. |
NEW FLORIDA POLL MONMOUTH:
BIDEN 51% TRUMP 45% |
Bingo. Don't count early, they say. Also, don't take too long to count, they say. Basically, they don't want people to vote. |
There are already shenanigans going on in PA. For instance, several Trump leaning counties have decided that they won't even count the mail-in ballots until next Wednesday. This could potentially make it seem as if Trump has a big lead (since mail-in ballots lean blue), and as these "unreliable/voter fraud" mail-in counts come in, it changes to blue. It allows him the bandwidth to call into question, the integrity of the election. Which is one of the reasons I'm really hoping that places like Florida and Texas fall into the Biden column. Then no one will care what happens in PA. |
