Not necessarily, if she lived in the area, knew people in years below her, was home during school breaks, etc. It's at least as likely as not.

Also, it could be a 20-21 year old party when kids come back from college where BK attended older kid party. Stop making assumptions.

How do you know they were "high school" parties? Her declaration just says "house parties." In fact, it's more likely the high school boys were going to college parties. My DH who went to Gonzaga at the time used to go to Georgetown Univ parties.

Good point.

People, at heart, are self interested and this is not in their self interest.

Kavanaugh however has every reason to lie.

The fact is, any woman who steps forward against anything Trump does is considered a national hero by the media. They truly have nothing to lose.

They are slandered, slut shamed, asked every personal question in the book, called liars, called whores. Sometimes they receive death threats, they have to move their families. Even when they tell WHEN the assault occurs (ie in Ford's case 35 years ago, etc), people don't believe them, their families and friends tell them it wasn't intentional, he didn't mean it, they get shamed and ostracized.

So they, actually, have a lot to lose.

I disagree about the name-calling. I would bet my life that no one could find any reason in Michelle Obama's or Laura Bush's or Condoleeza Rice's or Hillary Clinton's backgrounds to call them any of the terms you mentioned. Why? Because of the way they've conducted themselves. I'm not talking about someone who just throws out a derogatory term. I'm talking about a name that could stick.

People literally have referred to Michelle Obama as an ape.

And if you think that how I've described the reaction to assault victims is exaggerating, just read through this thread. Read the stories of victims since the dawn of time, who have come forward only to be disbelieved and ostracized and shamed. It's one of the most predictable elements of sexual assault.

Start here:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/amber-wyatt-told-her-story-of-rape-this-is-how-the-world-responded/2018/09/21/ff11300a-bdda-11e8-8792-78719177250f_story.html?utm_term=.3d98b79f7de3

PP here. I realize M. Obama was called names by pathetic racists. I'm talking about sexual behavior. I don't think any of those women could be called the names bolded above and have it stick.

None of them have reported being sexually assaulted, to my knowledge. If they had, they would have been called those names and been dragged. It is a near certainty.

I mean, people use who a victim hires as their LAWYER to decide whether to believe them, whether to call them liars, etc, out of hand.

R U hearing me? I said the name-calling wouldn't "stick" because there'd be no truth to it.

Nothing to do with money or intelligence.

The college I went to was nothing like Dead Poets Society. No one stood on desks reciting Whitman. But I majored in a STEM area so that could have something to do with it.

Teenage girls are funny and very few are motivated by money.

Bullsh*t. I was a teen girl at a decent private school and every teen girl chased after rich smart sporty guys who threw parties in mansions and had tons of money for booze and drugs.

Maybe those were your friends. Status was a bigger deal than money in our community, and no one carried about the parents' status. What kind of music they listened to was the biggest thing. Drugs were a non-issue. Alcohol was cheap.

As a Georgetown grad from that era, I never saw a single high schooler at our parties (house or dorm) and we would have run any such little punks right out.

For the college boys to let him in he must have been bringing some hot women.

My fraternity would never let high school boys in unless they knew a brother or *maybe* if they were bringing some cute girls. And no way in hell would they have the run of the house like Kav's crew did.

In this climate? These women are celebrity level #RESISTers. They will be hailed as heroes.

“Given” alcohol? Was it poured into a baby bottle and they were held on the boys’ laps and force fed it?

You obviously aren't a professional woman with a family.

Of course there were exceptions, but sorry, it's true. Of course, apparently, Kavanaugh was smart and connected enough to get into Yale. But come on, in the 70s and early 80s that school was a towel snapping locker room. Everyone knew this.

Landon? LOL. Uh, just no. That school has had even worse problems with frat boys than prep.

A true race to the bottom.

Problems occur at all schools in the DMV. Should we blame Yale too? How do you know that boys attending the school in the 80s were violent jocks. These boys families were not even applying to St. Albans or Landon. Give me a break.

Do people think

1) there will still be a hearing Thursday?

2) if so that Ford will testify?

3) and if any of these other accusers will be called to testify?

DH is a Gonzaga/Georgetown grad and when we were talking about this today he said he went to some GU house parties while in HS. Maybe HS friends let him in?

The punch was spiked??? I went to a lot of high school and college parties, and on don't ever remember mom setting out a punch bowl. This wasn't the Enchantment under the Sea dance! These were parties! If there was a barrel of red juice there, you could be damn sure it had alcohol. Nobody was sneaking a flask of vodka into the punch bowl.
