Ok serious question- why is there 2 dates for some of these state games. Do the teams play separate days.

Travel necessitates options for days. Some teams need to go a few hours for games and may need to fit them in with other things going on. For example BF/Colgan loser may have to go to Va Beach.

The level of disrespect that the entirety of the Oakton Lacrosse program experiences is obscene.

Cheer for Oakton & Madison to knock out Robinson & Woodson so they can see each other again for the 4th time at state semis!! Do it for the fans Concord!

Watched the Oakton team file out of the field/track in a two lines formation, together, looking resilient, and even smiling at the polite applause they got from Madison fans for the hard fought game. Seemed like a classy group looking forward to States to me.

This would have been after the alleged berating from their coaches, and the Regional Champions award ceremony. So, from my personal observation, it either wasn't that bad, or those girls are real tough.

Circling back here. COY threw a hissy fit in the heat of battle after loss to rival. Apologized. Some Oakton folks not happy. Playing Woodson next. Battle of Jmu commits

Those girls are very tough. They work tirelessly all season, despite the risk of further injury for many of their players. Just because the girls are resilient doesn’t take away the fact that the COY was very unprofessional. Especially when he shattered the teams glass clipboard onto the picnic table after the loss and saying “Get used to f***ing losing” and other abhorrent things to these poor high school girls. (Both of these things I saw with my own eyes) (I am not a parent from either team) Let the girls play and have fun. Losing 2 games after going undefeated for 15 games doesn’t sound like they need to “get used to f***ing losing”. Even if they didn't have a great season the coaches and especially not COY should inspire them with empowering words and not try to tear these girls down after they worked their tails off!

With all the other issues Oakton has had going on in the news and the SAD not addressing it in a timely way and letting it fester, I would be surprised if COY is still there for their next game. Would seem to be ripe for a lawsuit against the SAD (not for this, but this would show a failure to address issues which buoys the suit for the other stuff). If I am the SAD, it’s probably COY or me.
