Look again at the enrollment numbers. |

"Many schools have mold. Mcps is not saying it’s unsafe, parents are. Big difference."
Ok then, let the Wootton cluster stay there |
Sorry, I counted wrong. You're right. It would be about 200 over. I'm sure could move some from Wootton over into GHS to make room for Field Rd. Or, more seriously, the western part of Wootton could go to QO. |
It’s not up to me. Mcps is listening to parents saying it is unsafe. Talk to those parents. |
Some MS assignments changed, but not ES. Same situation that will be happening in the Crown and Woodward studies. |

"It’s not up to me. Mcps is listening to parents saying it is unsafe. Talk to those parents.'
Fair enough However I think it is obvious that most of those parents would rather stay in the building. ideally, they want a remodel, but if the choice is to either stay with minor repairs or go to Crown, 95% of the Wootton cluster would vote to stay |
Then talk to the leaders who are advocating. Reality is your mold issues are not going to get priority. You are already in line for repairs, unlike many of our schools that are older and haven't had the updates yours has. |
You want Wootton families to support adding fields road by rezoning themselves out? |
|
" You are already in line for repairs"
Your response and point of view are reasonable. MCPS should know by now that Wootton is willing to stay in line. What would not be reasonable is for MCPS to say, sorry, you complained, so now you must be punished. |
Fallsmead rightfully belongs at Richard Montgomery. It's where they need to go for real academic prestige anyways. In the IB program. |
The trolls on this thread wouldn’t call moving to Crown punishment. They would say Wootton is entitled and jumping the line for a new school, so it should shut up and be grateful. |
Look at the LA Rams. They moved from St. Louis to Los Angeles. Changed the coach, and a few players. Then they went on to win the Super Bowl a few years later! Here they are making another run deep into the post season again this year. So the sports analogy you're trying to make doesn't hold up. Wootton isn't the Yankees. Maybe they're the Rams. |
No, I want the BoE to make sensible a decision regardless of Wootton's temper tantruming. |
The leaders of the tantrums need to talk to families and see what they want vs. what they want. |
The leaders of the protests are not willing ot stay and wait in line. They are respresenting you so you need to talk to them or start your own advocacy. |
