Can we please discuss the d*ck pic scene. I was dying laughing at that!

That was one of the best moments ever in this show. Just the look on Roman's face. Or rather the looks on his face and how his whole physical demeanor altered. So good.

+1. And the "trying to hide her weight gain with clothes" comment? You really think a wealthy person who had gained some weight would keep wearing the same ill-fitting items rather than buying a new wardrobe designed to be flattering to their figure? To the extent any perceived weight gain is relevant to the show at all (which it isn't), the show has handled it exactly the way someone like Shiv would have handled it in real life - new clothes and no comment.

I feel like I exist in a different Succession watching universe. I find Kendall so thoroughly unlikeable and I am almost never rooting for him. Tom, Greg, even Roman and Shiv - I can get on their sides sometimes and hope that they come out on top. But what is it about Kendall that I am missing?

I certainly feel for him. He's got mental struggles that even someone without $2 billion in the bank would have a hard time living through. But his choices - and his personality - are all so terrible! Tell me what I'm missing please!!

I'm with you. He is awful.

While I agree it's hugely petty (and I am fat myself) but I can't stop fixating on ti.

But why? She went from thin to average weight, so what?

Did the actress who plays Shiv give birth in real life?

pp here-- I feel think he at least has a goal to be a better person and get out from under his father's boot. Yeah, he's terrible in so many ways, but he has potential. Shiv and Roman are *only* about pleasing their dad, and the writers have turned Greg into a whiner and worm this season.

But do you really think so? He's still so turned inwards toward his family. It's not like he's broken free and is actually doing his own thing. It seems like his goal is to take his family down (unless it hurts him) - not to actually get out from under his father's boot. He [spoiler spoiler] for pete's sake and never faced a single consequence, thanks to his family's protection!

If anyone, Connor seems like the one who is trying to get out from under the parental boot and actually make something of himself. He's a dope and a goof but he is the only one who's not scheming to grab what's left in the pot.

Exactly. As terrible as Logan is, he had a point about that. Kendall wants to think of himself as better than everyone else, but he’s as bad, or worse. Nothing is stopping him from walking away. His “deal” to get out (supposedly) still involves taking an operational chunk of the company, which he had to know his father wouldn’t do. Either he really is too dumb to have figured out how to negotiate with his father or he was just calling Logan’s bluff, and it’s not clear what the writers want us to think. However, if you’ve been in the business world, there are lots of people who don’t know what leverage really is and how to use it, so it’s possible that he really is that dumb. To be a good negotiator, you’ve got to be able to get into the other person’s head, and, if there’s one ongoing theme, it’s that Kendall doesn’t think about anything but himself. He is even incapable of taking advice, even from his lawyer and PR people, not to mention his family.

It's odd that some posters are saying Shiv's weight is not an issue. She's portraying an uber wealthy character, one of the richest women in the world maybe even. These women are not fat, so excessive weight gain does look weird for such a character.

I buy this. Brian Cox, the most acclaimed actor in the cast, has said JS is difficult to be around due to his method acting.

First of all, the actress playing Shiv has always had hips and a round butt. There was quite a bit of talk about it during the first season, even. And she hasn’t gained that much weight, it’s just all concentrated in her hips. IRL, she’s probably quite normal, it’s just we’re used to scarecrow thin women on tv, and the camera does add pounds. Rich wives tend to be thin, but Shiv isn’t a “wife of,” she’s got her own power.

Finally, she’s wearing clothes that are quite form-fitting, so I don’t think the costumers are trying to hide her shape. To the contrary — I think they’re emphasizing the fact that Shiv feels very confident, perhaps even over-confident, which is one of the main flaws in the character. She was a good political PR person, but always overestimates her ability in the business world.

First off, she was never thin. She always has some junk in the trunk. And Serena Williams???WTF She’s a world class athlete. There is no fat on her.
