That conversation was brutal. She couldn’t have a dog because Logan would mistreat it, but she left her children with him?

And of course Logan doesn’t want to let Kendall go if he actually wants to go. I would be very critical of the writers continuing to have Kendall be completely unable to predict how his father will react, but I have been in the middle of sone family drama (on a much smaller scale, of course), and learned that some otherwise bright people are completely without emotional intelligence. Like with Kendall, I want to say “Have you ever met your Father? How did you think he was going to react?” Unfortunately, its all too real.

I feel like it's been implied, but not explicitly said, that Logan strong-armed her in the divorce, basically taking the kids and cutting her out. Her remark to Shiv that she secured her shares sounded to me like the choices were Logan's way or nothing.

I can't decide if the low point of this episode was Shiv telling Tom she didn't love him and pretending it was a game or Logan using his grandson as a food taster.

I got distracted/interrupted so I didn't see the very end and am going to re-watch.

I was truly fascinated that Willa sort of rebuffed Connor. Epic.

But it also seemed that Shiv wasn’t buying her mother’s defense. And/or there was some element of choice on Shiv’s part. Her Mother said she moved to be near Shiv, and she wouldn’t see her. But she might not have tried too hard — hence the “should have had a dog” comment.

I think it will turn out that Willa the prostitute will turn out to be the only one that doesn’t sell her soul for money. Maybe Tom, but that one is still up in the air.

Meanwhile he uses people as human footstools.

This show demonstrates in epic fashion the old saying about sh*t rolling downhill.

Logan! who invites an ex-husband?
Connor - not her son and it doesn't sound like she had anything to do with raising her own kids much less him
Greg - related on Logan's side
Gerri- ???

I thought it was weird too. Especially since she never told her own kids she was even engaged. The only thing mentioned was her new husband was excited to have lots of important people at his wedding. It was pretty sloppy script writing to get everyone in one place.

Also, has the wedding actually happened now and they never really showed it, or did they leave the wedding for this big important meeting about Gojo which is then taking place in some corporate office in Europe?

Judging from the previews, the wedding hasn’t happened yet. They just went over to Milan for the meeting with the bankers.

Also from the previews, I’m guessing Kendall isn’t dead. I’ve been thinking he was going to kill himself since he was on the balcony at the end of the last episode, especially since he was looking over that sculpture at Hudson Yards where so many people have.

If Kendall is dead, I'm not going to watch anymore-- I think he adds depth and nuance. Without him, it's just going to be a show with no one to root for.

Logan using his (autistic?) grandson as a good taster was beyond cruel.

I feel like I exist in a different Succession watching universe. I find Kendall so thoroughly unlikeable and I am almost never rooting for him. Tom, Greg, even Roman and Shiv - I can get on their sides sometimes and hope that they come out on top. But what is it about Kendall that I am missing?

I certainly feel for him. He's got mental struggles that even someone without $2 billion in the bank would have a hard time living through. But his choices - and his personality - are all so terrible! Tell me what I'm missing please!!

I really doubt he's dead, but the finale preview and synopsis were careful to give nothing away.

“Upon learning Matsson has his own vision for the future GoJo-Waystar relationship, Shiv and Roman team up to manage the potential fallout as Logan quietly considers his options. Later, the siblings’ “intervention” prompts Connor to remind them of his position in the family, while Greg continues his attempts to climb the dating ladder with a contessa.” – HBO synopsis.

pp here-- I feel think he at least has a goal to be a better person and get out from under his father's boot. Yeah, he's terrible in so many ways, but he has potential. Shiv and Roman are *only* about pleasing their dad, and the writers have turned Greg into a whiner and worm this season.

But do you really think so? He's still so turned inwards toward his family. It's not like he's broken free and is actually doing his own thing. It seems like his goal is to take his family down (unless it hurts him) - not to actually get out from under his father's boot. He [spoiler spoiler] for pete's sake and never faced a single consequence, thanks to his family's protection!

If anyone, Connor seems like the one who is trying to get out from under the parental boot and actually make something of himself. He's a dope and a goof but he is the only one who's not scheming to grab what's left in the pot.

Exactly. Also, he's genuinely the saddest and loneliest of the bunch.
