It's now easier to perform an abortion in the state of New York than to legally apply a tattoo.

ms has the toughest abortion laws in the country. did you mean another state?

In MS, abortions after 15 weeks are banned. I don't need to click on anything. Reply please. If not, I'll assume someone made a mistake. No big deal.

I'm the pp and I see I am wrong about MS having the toughest laws in the country. Sorry about that.

How often are you referring to, exactly? Who are these women you know using abortion as birth control?

It amazes me how people who probably have never been in the position to even be pregnant have such black and white views on what women who are getting abortions are doing and why they are doing it.

I grew up UMC, as did my group of friends.

I can name four off the bat who had anywhere from 1-3 abortions in their early 20s. All four are college-educated, self-sufficient women.

There really was no excuse for these abortions. They were careless.

So you think they should have been forced to have those babies then?

Do you think three abortions as BC is acceptable when you're a FT working working with insurance?

It's careless as hell. I took one of my friends to her second abortion and said if there was a third, I was out. She had two. My other friend had three.

careless

If you can spend the time having unprotected sex, you can find the time to carry a healthy baby to full term and give it up to some couple longing for a child.

Common sense is dead.

Well there you go. It's really about shaming women for having sex outside the marriage. Don't you think you should shame the men too?

There are countless children already waiting to be adopted. I think they should get first priority, don't you? It'd be nice if more anti-abortion protesters went and gave those children families.

Priorities are clear.

It’s a felony in NY to possess a firearm magazine that can hold 11 bullets.

But killing a unborn baby, nearly full term, that could live if it were delivered, simply “because I don’t wanna have this baby”, is perfectly legal.

It’s absolutely mind bending.

Name a single instance of a nearly full-term viable, healthy baby in the womb of a healthy woman with no medical emergency was aborted.

+1

I’d like to hear an example of this too. Otherwise it’s just fear-mongering. SOP for the GOP.

I doubt women who abort their healthy babies would want their names made available to the public. Would you?

Anyone?

Name one New York doctor who would abort a healthy full-term baby or abort a healthy late-term baby on a woman not experiencing a medical emergency. Oh you can't, because the New York law allows abortions after 24 weeks only when a fetus is not viable (i.e. the opposite of healthy) or when necessary to protect the life of the mother.

Not anymore. Not with the new law.

You could literally elect to abort a healthy full term fetus while having delivery contractions.

This what the women of New York want. They want to be able to make that decision, if they so choose. They elected the people that wrote this law, which reflects their wishes.

Just accept it.

When you have to lie to make a point, that tells us you have nothing solid backing up your argument.

The new law, verbatim from the bill:

Section 2 of the bill creates a new Article 25-A of the Public Health Law (PHL), which states that an abortion May be performed by a licensed, certified, or authorized practitioner within 24 weeks from the commencement of pregnancy, or there is an absence of fetal viability, or at any time when necessary to protect a patient's life or health.

I see that PP never came back to refute this and try to make a further case for his lies.

DP.. of course it is. And majority of women who have abortions are married. Why aren't the husbands getting vasectomies? That's just common sense.

I have the perfect solution: ban abortions at the same time all men are required to have reversible vasectomies. That way you know that *every* single child that is conceived is truly wanted. Given that most single parent households are headed by women (you hear the term "dead beat dads" never "dead beat moms"), I think this is the perfect solution.

So, when men are ready to do this, then we can ban abortion outright.

I've asked the question several times now why prolifers think this NY law is any worse than WV, MS, AK laws that allow for full term abortions without the risk to mother's health, and no prolifer has responded. Someone responded about how they were fiscally conservative but socially liberal and so maybe many in those red states are like this, but that doesn't answer the question why the NY law is worse than MS's law according to prolifers.

If they care about babies so much, why don't they go after these red states that allow for full term abortions?

Dracula is the original vampire, which means all other vampires are technically his children. But has he ever paid child support?? Dracula is nothing but a deadbeat dad, that's why he can't look at himself in the mirror, he's too ashamed.

Why do you think it's shaming an intelligent woman to think that she should use commonsense about getting pregnant and having multiple abortions for non-medical reasons?

Are you the person with the three UMC friends getting multiple abortions in their 20s?

You should be wondering why you have so many friends making poor choices. What is wrong with you?

So, I take it men don't want forced vasectomies, but if some women don't want forced pregnancies, too bad? Who are these women having sex with that leads to pregnancies. Not other women, and not vampires.

DP.. why do you think married women should be ashamed for getting pregnant when they don't want another child? Where's the husband shaming for getting her pregnant when more than likely he probably doesn't want to take care of a baby but he gets upset when she doesn't want sex, or wants him to wear a condom? How many husbands are willing to get vasectomies or wear condoms?
