Question re: the R+L=J theory that many suppose leads to Jon Snow being the "rightful" heir to the Iron Throne. If the theory is true, wouldn't Jon still be a bastard since L was still married to Tywin Lanaster? Base on the flayed man peoples (forget their names, but the son is the one who turned Theon into Reek), being a bastard excludes you from inheriting a throne unless his father legitimized him. Also, do all the kingdoms rely on male primogeniture?
BTW how about those Sand Snakes this week?! Makes you want to hiss! |
| You are confusing me! I thought that L was betrothed to Robert Barathean, not married to Tywin. |
So many characters!!! Sorry, you're right! Speculation is that Tywin's wife had an affair that resulted in the Imp. Still unless R+L secretly married, then Jon would still be a bastard, and have no claim to the throne. |
| Yes, people think it's possible R and L were secretly married. |
Yes, that is what people believe- they were secretly married, Though Rhaegar was married to Princess Elia Martell of Dorne and it was consummated with two children so I am really not sure how it would all work. |
So Tyrion is Dany's brother or her nephew? Or either could be true? |
| Targaryens can have more than one wife. They are swell that way. |
If the theories are true, Tyrion = Dany's half-brother and Jon Snow = Dany's nephew. |
AND if the R+L=J+M is true, then Meera is also Dany's niece. How long until Sunday?! I'm glad I can't binge watch this (at least for the original airings). It makes me look forward to weekends more. Though I could do with less spear through head graphic depictions. |
| That also makes Meera Bran's cousin, right? So that budding romance may be taboo ( tho things are tricky in Westeros). |

Hadn't thought of that.
Whatever happened to Robert Baratheons son that was a friend of Arya? Is he still alive? Does anyone feel sad for Tommen? So sweet and naive. He's got to know he's going down. (The witch told Cersi she'd lose three of her children.). Momma's back but wifey is still in dungeon. I'd like to see a real face off between Cersei and her DIL (although the brains really seem to reside in the DILs grandmother). I wonder if they'll take each other out or join forces to defend Tommen's crown. |
I have an alternate theory that Sansa may end up with Robert Baratheon's son (can't remember his name). That union would make them serious contenders for the Iron Throne. Tyrion could be a contender as well if he's Aegon's son and married (he still is technically married) to Sansa. I think Sansa is in a good position to take down the Lannisters- maybe better than anyone else. Plus, I think she's fed up with being a weakling and ready to kick some ass. |

^the theory is that Tyrian is aerys' son.
But I agree about Sansa and that kid. |
| Gendry! |
| I thought that Young Griff could be Dany's other husband, along with Jon Snow. But they left him out of the show entirely, so I guess he must die off soon in the next book and not end up being important. |
