Are Boys Bullied for being Uncircumcised?

Anonymous
DH talks about how there was a European boy at his high school who was uncirced and they teased him merciless. Of course this was 25-30 years ago. In our crowd the overwhelming majority of boys are circumcised.

I am in my 40s and not cut. I can't remember ever meeting anyone else who wasn't cut. I also can't remember anyone ever saying anything about it.

The obvious rejoinder to any comment is "why are you so interested in my dick?"

Aren't some European countries thinking about banning the surgery until the child is old enough to consent?

Haven't heard since nobody circumcises there anyhow. For the few who do, it's about time to ask the boys.

I think Germany already has? I could be wrong.

Fewer and fewer gentiles are doing it every year. More and more Jews are not doing it. I really doubt that a boy born today in a blue part of the country will be teased about it.

I don't care, and I've had my share. It just needs to be big with well groomed pubic hair.

A majority of men prefer tidy labia. So let's modify the labia of infant females. If we do it when they're just a few days old, it won't affect them.

Nice rhyming! 10 yrs ago, our pediatrician told me that circ/uncirc is about 50/50. So, I'm thinking it's not so unusual these days, unless you live in a predominately Jewish area.

Even Jewish men have formal support groups for those leaving their sons "as is."

I'm not touching one if its not cut. Gross

I'm cringing for the poor babies who were cut. How many surgeries have you seen? It was the most horrific thing I've ever seen. Sorry.

You were getting naked with a man you liked and then just walked out?

So, you meet a man who is unbelievably hot and kind, makes a decent living, you get hot and heavy and then find he is not cut, so you walk out the door? I'm thinking not.

My DH doesn't mind that I'm au natural, and I don't mind that he is, too. I guess you would be ok with a man not wanting to touch your bits if you were not completely bald down there. I think it's weird when men want their sex partners to be completely shaven or have a brazilian wax, just like I think it's weird that women only want men that are circumcised. I guess those types of people deserve each other.

This is why reform and conservative Judaism are dying. We think that we can bend the religion to suit our needs. Circumcision is required, simple as that.

I also believe in the medical benefits so I would have chosen it anyway for my sons.

Why is it required?

How people practice religion changes over time...
