Where is the outrage about the Israeli starvation of Gaza?

Anonymous
No country has the "right" to exist. It's all just a matter of who has might, and the willingness to brutally suppress other populations to keep land. The Israelis, led by Netanyahu but supported by the majority of Israelis in every public opinion poll, have the might and are quite comfortable with the brutality.

I'm just one person but I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in my evolution on this issue. No group of people that have murdered tens of thousands of innocents in this craven manner will have my sympathy or support. And if I have to chose to care about the dying Gazan children or rising anti-Semitism, I pick the dying children. And American Jews sitting in their homes eating three meals a day and taking their kids to schools and on vacation safely and happily - while talking about feeling "in danger" -- it's amazing the lack of awareness of how this feeds into the narrative that Jews=Israelis. History will judge, but cold comfort today for those who are suffering.

I really think it stems from the fact that there was no outrage on October 7th. It's unfathomable to me that more people didn't condemn Hamas.

And still don't. Has a single pro-Palestinian poster on this thread condemned Hamas or said they should surrender to end the suffering? No.

I don’t think too many people on this thread are pro-Palestinian. What they are is against the suffering of innocent children in Gaza. One can say that they are against the maiming, and starvation of children without having to make a political statement about Hamas or any other political entity.

Then why aren't they demanding that Hamas surrender? That would end the suffering and the starvation. Not many on this thread want to connect the two -- Hamas and the suffering of the Palestinians. They only want to connect it to Israel. Hamas can end this today. Why not demand it?

There's no evidence Israel would do anything differently if Hamas surrendered. In fact, Israel's pattern over the last several years is to go back on agreements over technicalities or small details. There are no guarantees that the people of Gaza can trust.

That said, I would like to see Hamas surrender - but under an international agreement that allows for the UN or EU to administer it outside of Israeli control.

One thing is certain, what Hamas is doing isn't helping, so releasing their hostages can't make matters worse. Claims that removing the reason for Israeli retaliation will be ineffective is both speculative and illogical.

It would not end the theft of land

That started in 1948 and continues every day

Lives are apparently worth less than land to Hamas. A strange calculus.

It is agony; an awful, horrific death.

Over 85 innocent little children in Gaza have died this way so far.

Meanwhile, Hamas members are well-fed, still holding hostages, and still fighting when they see an opportunity.

This is satire. Why should they give up the hostages? They’re soldiers, so they’re actually prisoners of war. The Israelis have civilian hostages of their own, what’s their plan to release them?

What pathetic "reasoning". Taking hostages, along with wanton murder and rape, started the conflict, so let's keep on doing what we did to provoke the Israeli response we now complain of. That "logic" could make sense only to morally and intellectually bankrupt people.

An excellent question. Apparently not yet enough to surrender, or to release hostages, even if their continued vitality is dependent upon restricting food from children.

Israeli soldiers have raped Palestinian children as young as 3. You have no moral high ground. Israel is evil. The whole world is watching and we won’t be silenced by your cries of antisemitism anymore.

Israeli soldiers indiscriminately shot 54 people in line for food yesterday. These people posed no threat to them. They are starving to death and desperate for food. Explain to me why the 20 Israeli soldiers you insist are innocent “hostages” deserve better than this. You can’t justify it with anything other than blatant racism.

Ok gonna need a reference on that. The only proven raping was Hamas on adult Israeli hostages

Peace will not happen until the Jews love their children more than their neighbors land !

This is exactly why the Zionist regime won't allow international journalists to be there. So their war crimes will not be documented as easily and the outrage will be limited. The Zios will try and convince you that the people in Gaza are all terrorists or actors. The fact that this is being enabled by the western countries is absolutely criminal.
