Was told 1st team (MLS & GA) trains 4 days a week. and often 1 if the 4 training day gets cancelled, especially on the boys side. At best there are 3 training days, now 1 of those days is EDGE for an additional cost. The first team club fee for MLS and GA is already higher than the lower team. that's a switch and bait when i see it.

| Send them back to LMVSC please |
Gladly |
LMVSC would never take them back. |
Crazy to think that was an actual combo at one point and time. |
Looks like SYC has entered the chat
|
Off the top of my head if SYC soccer takes the organizational management piece away, the other sports have to suddenly: * Find someone to do their taxes (even when tax exempt you still have to file) - even if they hire this out someone has to collect the paperwork * Fill out the paperwork to get the tax exempt status, which I remember being kind of a pain when we went through the process * Manage their own bank account and mailing address (will they still get to use SYC's office?) * Handle permitting and pay county fees, unless it's already on the commissioners of each sport to handle permitting for their fields/gyms themselves * Handle insurance unless, again, they already do it * Get a website such as Playmetrics, Demosphere, Sports Engine, or Sports Connect, set it up, and run their registration, team building, scheduling, and such through it as needed. * Post all the current information that's on the current website (rules, overviews of sports) on the new website and continue to keep it current * Handle their own social media and communications - some sports do, some don't currently Sounds like the current organizational management wants to focus in one place, not that it'll be easier for everyone else. |
The other side would have to acquire field space as well as many other things. Don’t cherry pick. |
If SYC Soccer is both rec and travel nothing would change about their acquisition of field space... |
Send them back to LMVSC or anywhere else and what do you think would happen to SYC? Look at what happened to LMVSC and St. James when key personnel left. Slowly dying clubs. |
LMVSC can't die. It has Lula. |
Yes. It used to be the other way around- LMVSC was competitive once a upon a time and SYC was not at all. Then the roles reversed and it has been that way ever since. |
SYC would be fine. They have MLS and GA. You can leave a club and take players but you can’t take the platforms with you. Coaches and players would continue to go to SYC for the opportunities. |
Who wants to play for a club that can't get field space? |
Stj still has GA but they aren’t competitive anymore because the coaches and their players that made them competitive left. |
