That’s not true. Take the 2029s; outside of DC teams, not one AS team was better than its AA counterpart. Bmore was better than MD Red, all of the top PA players played for Philly in AA, most of the upstate girls were at AA. Long Island was split between the two events, however, with YJ kids choosing AS and 91 Roar choosing AA. And I saw what the older classes had up at AA as well, definitely more talent there.

If you look at 27’ and 28’ years. Which is really the only ones that matter at this point. The better players were at AS across all regions. AA did have some of the better players out of MD choose that event in those grad years.

MD AS 27 beats that AA Baltimore team.

LOL…nah

I did, I know the top players in those classes, more were at AA. Look at the bios of most of the AA girls, almost all of them were at AS the first year they were eligible and prior to AA being open to them, and they all moved on to AA when it mattered.

AA Champ - Baltimore Command team probably stronger than AS Champ Upstate NY at the 2028 level. They would have finished 1-2 either way.

Looking at the DC rosters, AA and AS 2028s were relatively equal, and both went 1-3. If the best players from the two rosters could pick one event and combine next year, they would be competitive at either tourney. That would require some organization and communication, not to mention a tryout selection process that works, but would be interesting.

Players want to be in the senior game, it's an important honor to a lot of kids.

This is 100% true and an honor for the girls who are selected. There are no tryouts for the team of rising seniors - most of those girls have played for AA but typically the top players from AS are also selected.

Kind of looked like the team was composed of the top players from a local team.. Just sayin...
.

2030 had at least 2 video try-out girls who aren’t very good. Anyone can look good in a self-selected video compilation.

Doesn’t matter. They picked the team and they’ve already played. Results are in. No one from the staff said it was best players from DC & VA.

You’re either in the club or you’re not. Try harder next time.

It means convincing the best capital kids to buck the AS capital system. AA is the better event.

That's a tough ask - the CAP girls know they have a leg up at tryouts for AS and may not make AA. Few non-CAP girls even bother to try out for AS anymore.

Most of the families that play in AS are there for the beach. Many have beach houses or rent in Dewey or Rehoboth to enjoy a mini vacation. The tournament is just part of the package.

That’s unfortunate. They haven’t won a pool play game in 3 years. Maybe time to switch it up.

No one cares that much. Everyone had a good time on our team.

Doubtful - the girls had a good time losing every game in front of college coaches after a summer of hard work?? OK Dad - Tell me you didn't play sports without telling me you didn't play sports.
