The Republicans who want to ban birth control

Anonymous
Trump promised to get rid of Roe Wade and he did. Now he says he's open to states restricting birth control. Don't believe his backtracking because Clarence Thomas has alluded that he wants to do this. Alito, Barrett, and Kavanaugh will fall in line!

Believe what trump says!

The beady eyed billionaires who are not maga (but want the GOP in power) must get very annoyed that Trump is such a loose cannon.

Theu don't give a tinkler's dam about anything but their money. Every woman who cares about reproductive freedom needs to pay attention

The woman's vote is imperative to beat Trump.

I hate Trump as much as the next gal, but after listening to the quote, I don't think he was actually saying he was open to birth control restrictions. I think this is what his handlers told him to say if he either can't hear the question, doesn't understand the question, or doesn't know what the answer is. He really, really can't think on his feet, and so he has some sort of stock answers that are basically "just wait until you see what we've got -- it's awesome. The best. You'll love it." It's like his binders of women. He's got a great, non specific plan that no one will ever see because it doesn't exist, but its phenomanal and very stable-genius-like. That's just the way he campaigns. But here he stepped in it, because this was a question with a simple answer.

If they vote for him, they accept all of his actions.

1)He didn’t have binders of women. That was Romney.
2) of course he doesn’t give an F one way or the other, but the people who surround him, are hired by him, swear fealty to him… those people want to ban birth control. That’s why Kelly Ann Conway randomly started talking about how republicans “definitely weren’t coming for birth control” months ago- seemingly out of nowhere. She was standing in rooms where aholes were discussing next steps after Roe to attack contraception.

And the rest of the elected Republicans on this thread, you just want to ignore all of that, pretend it isn’t real?

And as another pp said, this is certainly being discussed among Republicans leaders. This is where they’re planning on dragging the country.

Watch the video. If he isn’t open to birth control restrictions, the VERY easy answer to the very simple question “Do you support any restrictions on a person’s right to contraception?” is “NO.”

Agreed. A simple declarative sentence would suffice unless the answer is more complex.

He can’t say “no”
Because the answer is
“Yes we are looking at ways to ban contraceptives”

Narrator: He is open to birth control restrictions.

They plan to do this via enforcement of the Comstock Act.
