Typical self centered entitled turd with big ego. IF he hadn't been going 25mph over the limit and then accelerated to 46 mph OVER the limit none of this would have happened. Remember the evidence shows he was going 60 to begin with then accelerated to 81! On that road when he knew fellow students were all over the sidewalks is beyond reckless. It is criminal. If he had even tried to brake maybe the girls would be alive. People died and families have been ruined and this clown has been out living his life for two years.

You don’t know what happened. He may been trying to brake but hit the gas instead.

You don't ACCIDENTALLY hit the gas instead of the brake for one and a half blocks.

You cannot go from 60 mph to 81mph without realizing that you are accelerating. It takes time to increase your speed that much....which is time to notice that you aren't slowing down.

You can't claim you didn't notice you were picking up speed for 5 seconds. (One thousand one, one thousand two, one thousand three, one thousand four, one thousand five...).

So interesting to see how many people on this thread are out for the defendants blood for this crime, and are ready to throw him in jail for 20+ years. But other non-POC defendants who have committed similar or worse crimes, they aren’t so passionate and are ready to play the “mental health” card.

Are you saying that Shahid was suffering from mental illness?

So interesting to see you trying to support someone who recklessly murdered two young women of color.

So interesting to read how you know exactly which anonymous posters are posting what in separate threads over time. Can you please post some examples of a poster "playing the mental health card" for some defendants and then show us the exact same poster "out for blood" in this thread?

It's not race or mental health. It's the car. He was driving a BMW.

Where does it say where he started accelerating and how long?

Him not hitting the brakes makes it seem likely that he didn’t realize what was happening in time or that he made an error by hitting the gas instead of brakes.

My car can go 60-80 in a very short distance. And it’s not even a BMW.

I think he should face the consequences of his actions but it seems like you are speculating about what his actions and motivations were.

Evidence that there was malicious forethought? Intent?

Pay attention. The poster I was responding to was making it about race.

So if everyone is a racist - you get to be one too?

Driver only had a learners permit?! WTF? Did the parents allow him to drive to school and then where ever they were going at the time of the crash? That seems pretty crazy.

If that's true he was breaking the law by driving unsupervised by a licensed driver. The county bears some responsibility for not enforcing that.

No the parents do for giving him their car. But he was 18. Why wouldn't he have his license?
