Will he expect you to change your name when you marry? Would he support you terminating an unwanted or unviable pregnancy? Would he treat your daughters the same as your sons? Would he contribute equally in the home?

I have a very conservative husband and I still have my name after 20+ years of marriage, he was very supporting during my abortion, he treats our daughters very well (they are apple in his eyes), and he contribute 80% toward all house work (I don't cook and I don't clean).

Then your DH is no longer really a conservative. He's what MAGA would call a RINO.

RINOs are conservatives, MAGA are not.

Rs/MAGA don't support abortion. That is not the party platform. Keep up.

Also, MAGA are now the R party. You lost that battle.

No they have not.

I get you got scared and ran but some stayed and are fighting.

You had no problem with Regan so you might want some self reflection.

I wasn't scared. I left long before Trump. I had no problem with Reagan because I was also blind back then. Rs aren't the party of family values that I thought they were, nor do they actually support Christ like values they espouse.

Conservatives/Republicans are the party of "It's probably not a really good idea that all of our major urban areas are now so crime-ridden that you take your life in your hands just walking around downtown."

Progressives/Democrats are the party of "Eff you, these criminals and their families will vote for us, you white folk from the suburbs won't, eff you!!!!"

What makes him “very conservative”? Sounds like he is just acting in his own self-interest in his personal life.

Great question since nobody seems to understand conservative values.

Individual Freedom- this is why true conservatives support abortion. Anybody who doesn’t is supporting a theocracy.

Limited government: Though that does not mean allowing capitalism to the point of monopolies, supporting environmental protections like most farmer do but not to the point you are forcing everyone to be vegan because cows fart.

Free market: but not monopolies - no bankers should have ever been paid out under Obama

Fiscal responsibility: both trump and Obama sucked at this

Strong defense: not waging silly wars for monetary reasons

Moderate Dems believe similarly to above. Biden just expanded the military budget.

Since when did "true" conservatives support abortion?

BTW, Bush also bailed out banks.

You are so confused.

70% of conservative supported abortion pre -Regan.

Regan signed the 1st pro choice bill in CA.

Regan’s political advisors said he needed the evangelical vote to win the election and they made up some BS about abortion being murder and the rest is history.

I’m not confused about Bush, I just c a Ny name every corrupt banking action in the past 50 years.

Conservatives/Republicans are the party of "School shootings and mass shootings... are they really a "bad" thing?" More guns! More death! NRA 4 Ever! Vote GOP!

Yes, several marriages didn't make it in these last years.

Anyone who is a member of a political party is low functioning. Might as well be rooting for your favorite football team. Dems actively discriminate against people based on race, so you might want to get off your high horse.

Try again

WHITE RACE CARDS. Are produced by Republicans.

OMG the while males are getting shafted is absurd.

Currently, if you are a Republican you are a complete and utter idiot.

In America, we do not support the likes of MTG supporting Russia with her band of morons and The Republican party lying continually to the American people

There was never ELECTION FRAUD IT WAS A LIE, TRUMP KILLED OVER A MILLION AMERICANS ON PURPOSE, JAN 6TH WAS SEDIDITON. 147 MEMBERS OF CONGRESS. SHOULD ALREADY BE IN JAIL ALL REPUBLICANS. CRT was never taught in one school in the US.

you sound so date-able

This thread is dominated by depraved liberal extremists. Nobody wants to date this type of person because they have a never ending list of grievances and will never be happy.

They are just spinning their wheels, but I guess it serves as a distraction to their sad lives.

Conservatives tend to be WAY less uptight when it comes to college and careers. Much more laidback and social.

Conservative parents also don’t tolerate “failure to launch.” You’re an adult at 18, act like it.

Not much of a conservative if he can't even conserve the existence of his own child...

Where did pp say that it was his child? This might have been a relationship prior to theirs.

So your theory is he started dating her while she was knocked up with some other dude’s kid? (lol what a cuck.) Unlikely. Those kinds of trashy people don’t usually end up on DCUM. And if that is the case it is even more proof that he’s not actually “very conservative”, as very conservative men are absolutely not going to date a woman who is pregnant by some other guy.

No, at this point in time Conservatives are not Americans they support Russia over democracy & the US. Conservatives are supporting the likes of MTG & Boebert the most uneducated of us why is that? Who wants to date someone that supports stupidity and lack of education?

"Trump says Russia is not a threat, our greatest threat is our American representatives, we need to reevaluate the purpose of NATO, and most of the people in the State Dept, DOD and Intel Services need to be fired so he can put the right people in." One absolute is given this statement by Trump anyone still supporting Conservatives is un American to the core.

Conservatives value the bible and yet clearly have never read one.

Conservative here: sadly I think the world has become too polarized. Men, in general, tend to be live-and-let-live on political issues in their relationships, but IME women often tend to see political disagreements through the lens of “our values are not aligned” and all of your progressive female friends are going to react the way a lot of the people in this thread have, which is going to cause problems.

My a- political friend is married to a conservative who loves guns and Trump. It’s true, her girlfriends rarely hang out with the both of them. I tried to convince her to break up before they got engaged to no avail. Another downside is that she feels like she can’t complain about him to us maybe because she thinks she’ll get an I-told-you-so reaction.

You're spouting something that happened when most women who are of child bearing age weren't even born (1967).

You're very confused about what conservatives TODAY stand for. What Rs stood for in 1970, 1980 or even 1990 no longer matters. We're talking about today.

Conservatives don't support women's rights TODAY, and that is matters for OP.
