FCPS new FLE curriculum

I asked my senior daughter what she thought about combined gender classes for FLE, and she said she would have found it humiliating and been too embarrassed to ask questions. She said that boys were already ruthless in terms of making fun of girls in elementary (5th & 6th, and middle) about their periods in particular, and she thinks they would just ramp up their harassment about other issues related to changes girls go through. I would have to opt my kids out of FLE if FCPS combines genders, which is unfortunate. Glad my daughter is nearly finished with FCPS.
