| This is going to go down as the worst Olympics ever, right? Between COVID and the corruption and the ski crashes and the toxic waste ski jump venue? |

The conditions for the isolated athletes sounds horrible: Russia's Vasnetsova used Instagram to complain about the food she received in her quarantine facility. On Feb. 3 she posted an image of what she claimed was "breakfast, lunch and dinner for five days already." The photo consisted of some plain pasta, charred meat, an orange-looking sauce and no apparent vegetables. "I've been getting this for breakfast, lunch and dinner for five days now. I've lost a lot of weight and my bones are sticking out. I can't eat anything else, I don't know anything about my corona tests," Vasnetsova wrote in her Instagram post that has since been deleted but not before it circulated in Russian and international media. "I only sleep all day because I don't even have the strength to get out of bed. I only eat three handfuls of pasta a day because it's just impossible to eat the rest of the food," she wrote. |
They require two negative consecutive tests. The tests are at 7AM and 7PM. He failed to test negative in time. It sucks. Cross your fingers Chen is negative. |
OK, conspiracy theorist. Hint: if they really wanted to screw the U.S., it would be their near-unbeatable star, and not the notoriously inconsistent under pressure Vincent Zhou, who would have popped positive and been whisked away to quarantine. |
That's another blow. That really sucks. They should have made an exception this year b/c of COVID and this was bound to happen. |
There's a lot of corruption. Which instance are you referring to? |
That is dumb. They should change the rules due to COVID. Jeez. |
This is what happens when the Olympics take place inside a dictatorship. They are sending people to horrible places when they test positive. |
And because Almaty would have been a poor option too. |
PP is wrong anyway. It has nothing to do with the team event. The alternate can’t be used because the skating order draw for the mens short program already took place. That’s the reason. |
| What time are the gymnastics on? |
Its the Winter Olympics. No gymnastics. |
AWWWWW man! |
| I am cheering against this Eileen Gu chick so hard. Can’t believe they interviewed her on American TV. |
Damn. Oh well. |
