Do you mean rollback some of DeVos’ protections for rapists? Those are federal.

Wrong thread, my friend. This is a "local politics" forum.

Hyperbolic nonsense. She correctly restored basic rights of the accused consistent with judicial decisions. What do Democrats care about “me too” anyway….

Just received a solicitation from McAuliffe’s campaign where the lead is “Democrats are blowing it in Virginia.”

I don’t necessarily disagree with that sentiment, given how our local Democrats have been such a disaster in every respect for the public schools, but it seems like an odd admission to broadcast within a few days of the election.

What “school safety problems” then?

Has Youngkin denied that it’s him in the video? I must have missed that.

Terry has lost his mind. What's going on with him?

DP. So would it be correct to assume you support what LCPS did with the boy who allegedly assaulted a girl in the bathroom, moving him to a different school while the investigation was ongoing? Basic rights of the accused and all.

That’s a moronic question. The rights DeVos restored applied to hearings and the presentation of evidence. I have not heard about any deprivation of rights of the individual to whom you refer. The court has ruled on one of the allegations. Whether the county properly handled the disciplinary matters has been the subject of debate and possibly a lawsuit.

Okay, so you only care about rights of the accused when it suits your agenda. Got it.

Agree. I certainly hope the victim and her family get the best possible legal representation. They deserve to be fairly compensated for what's been done to them. We already know the school board has top-notch tax-payer funded legal teams. This craziness needs to stop. The only way is to vote R this time.

I’m not following you. Whose rights were violated? I care about rights consistently. Maybe try to recognize that constitutional rights transcend local politics?

In this instance, I am referring to the rights of the accused boy to continue to receive a proper public education while the investigation was ongoing. I assume you wouldn’t have supported him being removed from school after he first assault allegations before he’d even had a disciplinary hearing, right?

You think Republicans GAF about rape victims?

Is that a joke?

The whole country has heard what Terry McAuliffe said about parents. I think more than anything, this is what will cost him the election. Terry lives in a bubble surrounded by radical extremists.
