Good. These spending bills have tanked our economy and BBB would be the worse of them all. |
Let's go let's go let's go! Its time the progressives learn the moderates are charge! They've sat by gleeful as inflation rose, our grocery prices are out of control, our supply chain is leaderless, and the labor shortage is critical because they're depositing thousands every month in unearned income. Give them hell Virginia! |
A spending bill that hasn't even passed the Congress de facto cannot be "tanking our economy." COVID f#cked the economy. Fix COVID and you fix the economy. And, last time I checked, we are not in a recession. Really low unemployment rates, markets are frothy, and insatiable consumer demand. I'd say we are doing pretty well. |
Wow. The delusion. |
That's not why prices are increasing or why there are supply chain issues. The bullspit is what's killing us. |
Manchin tanked that vote yesterday with a news conference where he backtracked on everything he had previously agreed to. Meanwhile, Sinema had previously tanked the revenue side. Progressives and everyone else in the caucus has compromised and given in to all of their stated demands. At which point Manchenema came up with new demands. |
Yup, but it's not just about a Manchin republican primary. If he switched parties then WV loses all their political clout. There's a reason why their other Senator has no juice. Sinema is also tanking big time with independents. AZ has an openish primary but the only people supporting her right now are MAGA republicans. Her positions are odd - no prescription drug negotiations and no touching of the last round of tax cuts. Neither of those positions are at all popular with a very large majority. |
At this point just pass the infrastructure bill, with every dollar to WV stripped out. Manchin is a lost cause. |
Counting until Friday. That won’t end well for Rs. Election theft is rampant. |
Oh we'll know tonight who's the winner. Get ready for Governor Youngkin ![]() |
We got to stop allowing States to count votes long after the election passes. With counting allowed until Friday, that means Dems have that much more time to "adjust" the vote counts. It should be that your ballot arrives on election day, not postmarked by election day. It's not too much to ask. |
It’s just the mail-in ballots which don’t matter as long as the victory is decisive on Election Day. Polls close in 4 hours and a new VA law stipulates immediate vote totals being announced. The only way we’re waiting until Friday is if the vote is so close that a 1,000 Mail-in ballots will make the slightest difference. |
He is negotiating with republicans about chairmanships. Rumors say he is going to switch parties in December. |
