If Republicans do well tonight, there will be even less pressure on Sinema and Manchin to pass these ridiculous spending spree bills. In fact, a good night for Rs might have the "moderate" Dems thinking about a bloodbath for them in 2022. If this happens, the Administration is going to lose bigly on their legislative priorities.
Good. These spending bills have tanked our economy and BBB would be the worse of them all.
A spending bill that hasn't even passed the Congress de facto cannot be "tanking our economy." COVID f#cked the economy. Fix COVID and you fix the economy. And, last time I checked, we are not in a recession. Really low unemployment rates, markets are frothy, and insatiable consumer demand. I'd say we are doing pretty well.
The CTC which was passed back in March is in fact tanking the economy. No one is working because guess what - THEY DON'T HAVE TO.
