DA vs ECNL vs everything else

Anonymous
When top clubs who have a history of creating great players at all levels are leaving (PDA, Hawks, Ecplise, Stars, Indy Fire) after just a year the alarm bells need to be going off for you benighted parents. Other great clubs, Ohio Elite, TSC, Match Fit said no from the start, all for a very good reason.

The DA sales cart filled with magic elixir, has gone way off course. Enjoy your ride.

You mean like SoCal Blues? Or maybe you meant like FC Dallas? I know, you meant like Real Colorado - Sophia Smyth's Alma mater.

I'm not sure why Indy Fire is in that list, but as for the others, old news. And predictable.

That’s ok. Sockers FC (who left huge ECNL for the GDA) can pick up their slack.

Relax boys, this pissing match is futile. The only certain thing is the youth soccer landscape will be completely different within 4 years in ways nobody can predict. Be happy with your choice this year, and make a new decision next. And try not to be a dick.

Each Northern Virginia club is insular and no one wants to merge or combine or otherwise grow out of its area so as to properly support an actual soccer developmental pyramid.

McLean was an early Boy's DA club and was doing decently because they had the support/backing/urging of the Reimers family. The problem was the whole club didn't support DA, especially when non McLean players started to make the DA team. Boys DA lost overall club support and USSF pulled the plug on them.

My understanding was there was some urging on behalf of the federation for them to merge their DA program with Arlington and maybe another club or two, but egos and the newly formed CCL got in the way.

We are seeing that now on the girls side with the clubs trying to maintain their historic ID and geographic ties, yet compete for the same playerpool.

Dude, you're like super smart. Bravo!

I must add that Mclean was kicked out of BDA because they couldn't meet the USSF standards for facilities, staff, etc.

Dude, you're like super duper smart. Brilliant!

The lack of overall support by the club was why those issues became issues that US Soccer dinged them on and used to justify pulling the plug.

Do you have any current news? That happened five years ago.

Straight from the ECNL PR department. How many of the players from the clubs leaving PDA are leaving PDA to stay in the DA? Quite a few. Now why would they do that if ECNL and PDA are top dogs? Do your research. Ecnl better watch it’s back with new EDP league. ECNL may end up third tier. EDP is run by smarter people.

How many of the players from the clubs like PDA are staying to be in ECNL? Alot. Now why would they do that if GDA is top dog? Did the training suddenly get worse at PDA? Of course not. Do your research.
Seriously GDA guy, please try to be more creative with your counters. Maybe something with some real data behind it.

Yeah. I have some current news.

Mclean ECNL is collapsing.

ECNL in Northern Virginia, as predicted is collapsing

You are still a clown

This is not NJ and Mclean is not PDA.

Cedar Stars (DA) is better than PDA (ECNL). So who cares?

Enjoy playing those B team Carolina clubs

Have fun beating up on Loudoun

Smart ass.

Someone posted some background information about McLean's boys DA to illustrate why McLean is in a tough spot re: GDA or ECNL. They didn't present it as news.

I think you forgot the part about the data. Lets deal in fact. Collapsing? No. Weakening along with all area elite teams? Yes.

Same as above.

The more this splits up the girls youth soccer into distinct regions the better. Lets hope that whichever one of these fools wins in our area, the other wins in the neighboring region so we cal all stop having to travel there.
