That crowd suggests there are a lot of enthusiastic Trump voters in Pennsylvania. Will be interesting to see PA's election results

In 2020, 3.38M people voted for Trump. But 3.46M voted for Biden.

There are millions of Republicans in PA. But even as of September 2024, there were still 300K more Democrats in PA. So, the presence of a couple of thousand people at a rally in a Republican part of the state, is not really significant. That enthusiasm was there in 2020 when there were far more Trump/MAGA signs all over the state and it still amounted to a loss by 81K votes. And Musk is not popular in Pennsylvania (or anywhere). His negative ratings are far higher than his positive ratings.

With the Dobbs decision, Trump's repeated insults against Philadelphia (which boasts 50% of the state's population in the metro area), the Trump/Vance recent insults to Haitians, the stumping around the state of Harris, Walz, Shapiro and Fetterman, J6, all of Trump's court cases, his misogyny, his sexual assault, it is highly unlikely that he has convinced that many more people to vote for him than he has repulsed away from his ticket.

Additionally Harris has a lot more minority and women support than even Biden had. That is what Trump is facing. I expect, despite polling suggesting otherwise, that Harris will win PA by more than the 81K that Biden won it by.

Many of those registered Democrats are old school Democrats that vote Republican in Presidential elections.

No way Harris does better than Biden in Pennsylvania. She is a far left California liberal. Biden was seen as a home state moderate “ Scranton Joe.”

She's not, though - and Trump is melting before our very eyes. Do you think that "old school Democrats" are interested in this deranged clown you people keep foisting on us?

It is a close race and it is going to be a close race and that is making me feel crazy. But I think your analysis is absolutely nuts.

This. Trump has really lost a step. He’s just not the same person he was in 2016 and he no longer has the incumbency. He seems tired, angry and depressed. Not sure how attractive that really is. I don’t expect people to disavow him, but there’s a desperation settling around him.

New prediction: This pair will come to ugly verbals blows soon enough because:
1. Elon used to abhor Trump & said so often and Trump was no fan of Elon either. That was the reality until this recent toxic bromance.
2. Both are exhausting & desperate attention sponges, fatal condition eventually. There can be only one center of raging bile.
3. Trump will quickly grok that Elon is using him to avoid inevitable regulatory scrutiny (his true aim here in sucking up to Trump) and Elon is a survivor.

I highly recommend her book, Burn Book. She covered the tech sector as it emerged and her book is a history of the development of the industry and all the players in Silicon Valley. Much more interesting than i thought it would be.

I think what she says is plausible. The same with RFK Jr. Most people are ruined by working with him or then make careers out of talking about how awful he is. We should listen to them. I can't think of anyone who has said how he was great to work with or that he is an admirable person. It's only the people who don't know him who like him.

"Former President Donald J. Trump vividly recounted how the audience at his climactic debate with Vice President Kamala Harris was on his side. Except that there was no audience. The debate was held in an empty hall. No one “went crazy,” as Mr. Trump put it, because no one was there."

Biden needed to be "Scranton Joe" and highlight his PA background to win because he did not have nearly as much support with women and minorities.

Harris has lost those votes and blue collar workers in Philadelphia, but she has more than made up for that with significant gains in minorities, suburban women (and women in general), and youth voters. Those three demographics are more than offsetting the "old school Democrats" that you claim are voting Republican.

Harris not a far left California liberal. That's just what Republicans are regurgitating because they call anyone who isn't on their side a far left liberal regardless of details.

It was no where close to that amount, because you can look at the bleacher behind the dias, and interpolate based on size how many people are on it, and then replliate that measurement across the crowd in the aerial. But hey, if it makes him feel good then so be it. He is preaching to the choir at this point. He isn't getting new voters and he is turning off people on the fence.

Elon Musk is one of the most popular people in the world. To imagine that he will have 0% effect on the election is just cope and is the delusional thinking of someone who just hangs out with UMC white liberals who think Joe Rogan is “problematic,” ie, 5% of the population.

He’s soooo cool, right, PP? Just so achingly awesome and cool, even though he makes women’s skin crawl and even though he has to buy all his friends online, and even though he’s trumping Twitter right into the ground, he’s just the coolest.

This isn’t going to help Trump’s campaign with anyone. The point of campaigning is to energize one’s own voters and to change the minds of the fence sitters. Trump’s sad tuba fart sound campaign isn’t doing that and Elon’s not going to help.

Can you expand on the tuba fart?💨 I missed that.

Musk, Trump, RFK - all narcissists. Anyone who has one in the family knows...and runs away as fast as possible.

Trump, Vance, RFK Jr, Musk. It's all the insane weirdos no one likes.

I say this as a former Musk fan. I used to really admire his drive, his intelligence, and his desire to better the world and find solutions to climate change, and to leave Earth and settle elsewhere if that didn't work. When he was younger he was still able to listen to more reasonable points of view, but he's just like his father. With age he's getting more and more crazy and intolerant. It's really sad to watch.

Of course it's a big crowd. Half want to watch a possible tragedy; the other half want a chance to win $1 million for their families.

We did a family outing through farmland to central VA today and while there were many Trump flags there were a shockingly high number of Harris flags. (!!)

How do they all tolerate one another's presence? You would think they would go poof if they got too close to one another!

I drove through Calvert/St. Mary's counties last weekend and the lack of Trump signs was noticeable. Even houses that had Republican downballot signs didn't have Trump signs.

I was in Carroll County and saw more RFK signs than Trump signs.
