Speaking of well done, I was happy to see Kristin Davis cooled it with the fillers. Although her work is still detectable she looks like herself again. I wouldn't mind seeing her hair shorter and lighter, but she looks beautiful. The rest of the ladies look pretty natural, which I appreciate.

"Concern" is probably the wrong word. But these are TV actors, playing roles of image-conscious people - I think it's pretty normal for us to notice how they look.

Any consideration to the fact that that might be why those enhancements happen? When a woman doesn’t color her hair she’s called a granny and when she does, she said she’s trying to look younger.

Sure! And some exploration of that on the show would be interesting - the cruelty of aging (and the cruelty of not aging, because it means you're dead). The tradeoffs, the choices, the mistakes, the successes! I feel like they did some of that in the original series. And in AJLT they had Miranda with grey hair for much of season 1, then when she dyed her hair red again it was supposed to represent her returning to her real self.

So much of this show has always been about how material things and the quest for beauty are a core part of who these women are. Of course that's easier when you're young - but I think it's even more interesting when you're not.

And I'm sorry, you're not going to put Kristen Davis up there in those fillers and expect that it'll go unnoticed!

In the Season 1 premiere ep they had a whole convo about hair dying and "faking" youth. In another ep Carrie had to consider what serious plastic surgery interventions would do to her aging face. I don't think it's fair to say none of that's in there, but of course the series is going to be careful not to make it too personal with the actresses. But someone clearly told KD to lighten up on the fillers and she did, thankfully.

I watched S2 Ep 1 last night - boy was it painful. I skipped S1 entirely because I adore SATC so much and just couldn’t. But I wanted to try S2 since I heard the wedding dress and Aiden make appearances.
What was the point of Miranda in the sensory deprivation tank? That was cringe as was the strap on. What happened to Miranda?
Where is Steve? Is she cheating on him?
Who are all these other people? I know - I would know if I watched S1.
Ok I was interested to see Warwick from CSI - bring him back pls!
Was that green stripped ribbon dress supposed to be amazing had it fit??
I just want to see the complexity + humor that was captured in the SATC characters and story lines. If there’s some of that in this new show I’ll try to stick with it.

This show is cringe. And I say that as a 45 year old woman who came of age during the original series and LOVES it. I’ll watch this reboot no matter how awful (and hot damn it’s bad) because of my love for the original, but I am disgusted nearly every moment. Everything feels so forced. Like the caricatures of the original characters. So uninteresting. So gross (that opening montage of all the middle aged sex…did we really need that?). Really I don’t even consider it must see TV because it’s so boring and wince inducing but I tune in anyway because anything SATC related takes me at least partway back to my blissful 20s when I was a massive fan of the show.

Same. The writing is terrible and the “were so old” lines are so trite. I expected them to be much more confident and interesting.

Agree the show is cringe and cheesy. I also have absolutely zero interest in any of the new characters. They are BORING! The show needs to get new writers. I don't think I can watch the rest of the season. Life is short, and I don't want to watch television shows that are unbearable to watch.
