Came across as angry he's not given a pass on his old behavior and just angry in general.

There are better, conservative nominees out there. Why hasn't he stepped down, not dragged his family into this, and let a conservative with a better behavior background be nominated?

Because he shouldn't have to admit he did any of this? or drank so heavily he can't remember? You don't get an automatic pass when you are a supreme court nominee.

What surprises me most about all this is how dumb he seems. I started with the assumption he was a smart guy. After reading a few of his speeches and seeing his performance here today, he just really doesn’t seem very smart or insightful. Is it possible he’s leapfrogged his whole life based on his connections?

Why won't he answer the question and agree that an FBI investigation or at the very least if this hearing could have included witnesses then it would have been a more fair process. Why won't he admit in this setting that he thinks an investigation by our own justice department be conducted? Does he not have any confidence in our agencies, like the FBI? If not, then why the heck is he a candidate to sit on the Supreme Court? He keeps saying it's the committee's job to initiate an FBI investigation. But he himself, like Dr Ford, ask for a fair investigation.
