Agree with posters saying this will be the slow end to them.

FCV may have a lot of players moving back on age next fall making every year more competitive including 09s. If they don't, the 09s are really going to suffer. Rumors have been flying though about some 08s leaving. One of them (parent) actually just made a big stink about Racism and that is why she is not getting playing time. So who knows?

I am doubtful that the girls playing up are coming down -- maybe some current playup 08s go and play 09 which would give needed core to 09, but the others at older ages are starters and will almost surely stay.... Two players have left 08 this year -- one moved away, and one moved on. Have heard no rumors of any others leaving -- where do you hear that others are going?

DP. That poster mentioned racism. You think that parent will keep their DD at FCV if they think their kid is being discriminated against?

Is the SYC club any good for 08G? asking for a friend

Depends if their two best players move to McLean. If not, they are good for not being a ECNL or GA team and could beat a few of the GA teams as well as BRYC.

Is the team that bad or something else? We are thinking of trying out with them on Monday

What about the rest of the team? Do the current players belong at that level?

Lol they beat Arlington GA. They are a skilled team with a very good midfield which seems to beat the kick and chase model.

If you want to try out for a good 2008 Nova team I recommend Loudoun. Contact the coach and come out to practice.

Damn. The recruitment, damage control, and retention attempts at Loudoun on this boards are relentless. Must be a great Spring and upcoming Summer over there in Leesburg!

Let me guess? FCV parent who's DD couldn't get in Loudoun ECNL and now has to drive 45+ min to the next closest ECNL team

Have fun joining their 50 person roster where you pretend your kid is on an ECNL team but never plays in a single ECNL game

Arlington and FCV are in NC for a GA showcase... I will be curiously watching the results from this event! I am sure FCV will perform based on their past outings in GA.
