America isn't in decline. The people who are telling you it is are trying to manipulate you. Nostalgia is toxic.

Amen. If America is in such decline why don't all of the MAGA move to another country? Perhaps a dictatorship?

I don’t know if I’m ”MAGA” but I’m not optimistic for this country’s future at all under Democrat rule. I am resigned to staying here, because it’s very difficult to move to another country. It takes a lot of time and money. I would not go somewhere illegally like people do at our border.

No, you wouldn't because moving to some place illegally with no support system and living in the shadows is incredibly difficult and scary. And you would only do this if you were desperate.

if you were desperate.

or if it was easy enough, the way Biden and Harris made it.

Have you ever tried to live in the shadows with no support system in a foreign country where you don't speak the language? Let me tell you, even as a legal immigrant, it's very difficult. I know because this was my family. I can't imagine how much more difficult it would be if we were illegally in the country, living in the shadows, constantly afraid of being deported.

That's not to say that I support open borders. I do not. But, you make it sound like these people coming here illegally is so easy for them. 1. making that loooong trek is incredibly difficult. My father had to do that as a 13 yr old with his parents to escape communists 2. Once they make it here, they don't speak the language and have no idea how the system works. Some end up on the streets, with kids. It must be so scary to not know what's going on, where you will be sleeping next or when you will get your next meal.

I was often hungry as a child when we came here, legally. I can't imagine how hungry and scared those kids must be.

Imo undecided voter trope is bullsh*t. The indecision is whether one will bother to vote or not, not which candidate they will vote for. How one can listen to that old man’s rambling and tired schtick and find anything of substance is beyond me.

Harris did a fantastic job. She’s a serious person of substance. We don’t have to worry in the slightest that she’ll see some random ass thing on tv or in a meme and they suddenly that will become her next talking point to ramble on about nonsensically. And she’s right - Trump is too easily manipulated with flattery - and I’d add - the promise of financial returns. He represents the worst of what this country can create - a superficial, greedy narcissist who looks at situations with a “what’s in it for me” and “what can I take” point of view. I am more closely aligned with him financially so theoretically any changes he’d make around fiscal policy would benefit my bottom line, but I don’t even care. I look forward to the day when he’s brand of politics is behind us and we once again require more from our leaders.

Because I care about policies. I agree that Trump has demonstrated a more flawed character than Harris. However, I like Trump’s policies. I do not like Harris’, nor do I want four more years of this awful administration.

What policies do you like? The tariffs that will explode inflation? the deportations that will explode inflation? the siding with autocrats so he can become one too? Seriously, what are his policies that you like? This is a real question.

Please keep this wallet draining tariff disaster away from us all. Trump will send us all to the poor house .

All these MAGA idiots have no understanding of tariffs. All they hear is tariff and China and think this that is good.

Not only China will pay, but we will too. It’s not just China paying the tariffs. Those cost will be passed down to us. We will pay for it, trust me.

For all you MAGA idiots, tariff is a fancy word for tax. I hope this helps you understand more. These taxes will eventually be passed on to YOU! The extra cost will affect you more than the rich.

+1 Here’s what happened to the price of washing machines when Trump put tariffs on them.

These tariffs/taxes would increase cost of living and largely impact middle and lower class families. Under Trump/Republicans/Conservatives, the increase in revenues would then, a short time later, justify a tax cut to the rich. That is the long game wealth redistribution that the Republicans/Conservatives do support - socialism for the rich. Trump is the useful idiot.

Let me guess you call yourself a Christian too.

Here’s my unpopular opinion, I think if you so vile that you cannot find it in yourself to care about other human beings, you should permanently lose your right to vote.

Sure, you are not required to have any sympathy for another human being (though I would question the morals of anyone who has no sympathy), but you are wrong about how "easy" life is for illegal immigrants.

Life is hard for immigrants in general, unless you speak the language, have loads of money and family support. And yet, these people come here because they are desperate. The vast majority of Americans have ancestors who came here for similar reasons.

+1. How dare he talk about her putting out and the moderators let him get away with it. He became famous for his affairs while being married to Ivana. What a misogynistic pig

He should never be able to live it down. Pig.

Look, the only people that think the "put out" quip is a win are people that were always going to vote for Donald Trump. Everyone else saw it as a desperate swipe. I think we still have plenty of sexism and misogyny in this country, but I think we have progressed to a point where this sort of thing just isn't going to land. It's also an accusation that's been around for 20 years - while she was winning her elections for CA attorney general and CA Senate. It's just ridiculous

This is where Trump’s insults and vulgarity toward women really hurts him. I believe he was trying to say that she wasn’t publicly claiming to be black (which, of course is ludicrous), by saying that he didn’t see her put out anything about her black identity. I honestly don’t think he was using “put out” as a reference to sex, but because he does say such awful things and Trump supporters accused her of sleeping her way to the top, no one gives him the benefit of the doubt — which is completely fair and reasonable. Because of who he is, many people’s minds went directly to his saying she “put out” to get where she is, even though, in this case, it was just him poorly wording his defense. He was demeaning her for her racial identity, not her sexual history. In the end, it’s a distinction without a difference, because he’s a liar and morally bankrupt either way.

“All I can say is, I read where she was not Black, that she put out. And I’ll say that, and then I read that she was Black. And that’s OK. Either one was OK with me. That’s up to her,” he said. “That’s up to her.”

It would be more clear what he was trying to say if he could string together a complete grammatical sentence just once, ever, when not reading from a teleprompter.

And a Republican pollster chimes in.

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4875745-frank-luntz-donald-trump-kamala-harris-debate/

Just a few tidbits from the article.

Republican pollster Frank Luntz predicted former President Trump’s performance in the Tuesday night debate will ultimately cost him the election in November.

[...]

Luntz said he thought it wasn’t that the Democratic nominee won the debate, but “I think more accurately, is that Donald Trump lost.”

“And this is not the worst debate performance I’ve seen in my career, but it’s very close to it,” he added in the interview.

You deliberately missed the part where PP described it being hard for legal immigrants -- which suggests that the "illegality" is just a fig leaf for you. Your real problem is with people who come here from elsewhere.
