The debate

The talking heads who sell commercials and advertisements will produce content talking about who exceeded expectations. That will go on for awhile, and then we will forget. After the election, some political commentators will retcon the debate into something that fits the results.

Unfortunately one side did win in the last debate. That's why we are where we are with these two candidates.

It’s hard to see how Harris—a very smart former prosecutor with legendary skills—won’t win this thing against the weird orange man.

Kamala will perform however she does and the conservative blabosphere will run a million headlines and tweets about how terrible she was before she even takes the stage - as happened here before her interview.
Then the “liberal” media will intensely focus on evenhanded criticism, BoThESIdesing the candidates, and deeply probing Harris’ nuanced and thoughtful answers while sanewashing the nonsequitor and barely coherent bile Trump belches out.
Then I’ll listen to focus groups that just aren’t sure who won and consider

What this PP said.

Short of Trump pooping in his pants on stage, this changes nothing.

If you actually go back and look at the substance of what the two talked about, Biden was far more coherent than Trump. But, no one expects Trump to be coherent, and Biden's initial bad minutes absolutely sank him.

I wish there were no debates coming up. I’m tired of both of these two who are awful at public speaking.

Both sides, the refuge of the weak minded and the Republicans too embarrassed to be openly Republican anymore.

What’s the point of the debate? Trump is just going to yell and lie and no one is going to hold him to account.

You’ll get to see some epic sanewashing! That’s gonna be so much fun to the “legacy media” (I think is what the Stephen Millers call the corporate owned media) trying to lead the country into a Trumpian vat of boiling acid.

Just kidding. For those of us who are sane it’ll be depressing as hell to see Harris responding intelligently and adroitly while Trump tries to crop dust the stage both verbally and physically, all for the media to declare it a “draw.”

So many lies. I hope he starts in with the murdering babies nonsense again. That is pathetic desperation from the biggest of babies that can't accept he blew his chance to ever get reelected. Harris will knock him way back.

Kamala Harris will come across as a mean, aggressive bully, like she does when she tries to play “prosecutor”.

I’m glad the network is muting the microphones to let Trump talk. She was reportedly planning to interrupt and “fact check” him as he was talking.

Yawn. I'm a Democrat who will vote for Harris, and I don't have a weak mind.

It doesn't take a genius to see that Harris sucks in front of the camera.

Excellent. Hope trump also thinks the prosecutor part belongs in quotes. Always an advantage for him to underestimate her.

She will have to wait for them to shut his mic off and then fact check him up down and sideways.

+1 unfortunately, it’s unlikely the moderators will fact check him.

.they will not. Harris will be responsible for calling out his constant diarrhea of lies.
