She picked Tim

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the concept of socialism. Like anything else, however, bad actors have given it a bad name.

I came from China, which has the most cut throat capitalism under the communist government. During Covid, with the draconian shutdown during which people could not pay their mortgages, the government did not spend a dime bailing out its people nor small businesses. You are on your own. US was admired with all its government programs.

To understand real socialism, look to Northern European countries.

He's just plain good.

He’s a fantastic speaker and the crowd went NUTS when he came out. They were enthusiastic about Mark and Gabby but really were over the moon for Walz. Harris chose well.

Yes. She did.

I just discovered a subreddit about Walz found at: r/walzposting. It's delightful!

Harris chose really well. Tim Walz is a gem and people love him.

I mean, they are very different candidates. Did you want a supercut from how Fox covered the two? Because this goes both ways.

Meanwhile, could you even imagine Vance or Trump ever standing behind this:

This is pretty clever.

It is?

Yes. Either you’re not American or you have no sense of humor.

It's... a camo hat.

DP. I don't get it, either. It's just a regular (IMO ugly) hat.

It’s a camo hat for a Democratic ticket. Do you really not get the joke?

It's not a joke. It's a nod to Governor Walsh's style. He dresses in hunting gear, because he is a hunter. It's the style that he normally wears and shows that unlike Trump and Vance, he's an everyman Joe who the midwest and more rural voters may be able to feel more connected to than a New York businessman or a San Fransisco venture capitalist.

God I hate Nina Turner but I agree with this. He said something similar after voting to pass the ACA when everyone thought he would lose after he did. Politicians are afraid of doing anything bold lest they lose their jobs, so nothing bold gets done.

If it was up to JD Vance, I wouldn't have a family because of IVF.
Walz:

“Democrats are investing in prenatal care. We're the ones that are for universal pre-K. We're the ones that are providing school meals. I'm not gonna back down one bit on this whole family values thing. We're making it more affordable to have children by having paid family and medical leave. Where is JD Vance's program?”

Damned straight, Tim. This is why people like him & not the that freak, Vance.

This guy is SO good at this. Harris made such a wonderful pick.

Walz was amazing in Arizona. I watched the whole rally. The crowd loves him. He's an engaging speaker who is authentically himself. He was definitely speaking like a coach motivating the crowd and this movement last night!

Such an asset to the ticket!

I’m voting down ballot and leaving the top of the ticket blank or writing in Biden, so I have no horse in this race, but the whole chest clutching, guffawing thing comes off as really fake and performative to me. Sorry.

I've said this before: people who don't vote for one of the two main candidates are making a statement only to themselves. This literally helps nothing. In the race before us, there is a clearly better choice and whatever your reason for "writing in Biden," it will not be advanced by doing so.

Your opinion actually does not matter, by your own choice and admission. You have made yourself irrelevant- why bother posting?
