Republicans passed HR 2 knowing it had zero chance of becoming law. It's nothing but a messaging bill, so that GOP members can go back to their heavily gerrymandered districts and claim they're doing something, so they don't get primaried by somebody even more conservative.

Because it's difficult to get 60 senators to agree on anything.

I don't really care about artificial borders. This country actually belongs to Native American and Indigenous people, they are the only people who have a right to be upset. Given that the people who are descendants of Puritans and other Euro nations, who stole land and then continue to hide the true people of this land in rural areas, this is likely judgment upon this land for wrongdoing.

People have the right to move wherever. More than half of this country sits empty if we want to be honest.

Take a drive across country, there is a lot of open land and space.

Not doing so results in national security issues, not to mention the financial issues that come with unabated immigration. Then, we have the migrants who come from 3rd world countries and bring with them disease and illnesses that have largely been eradicated in the US.

Do you know where these migrants go? To cities. Populated cities. NY - DC - Chicago - etc.... Why? Because those cities provide services to the migrants free of charge and these migrants know it. If they head to unpopulated areas - there is nobody there to take care of them.

Someday you will develop some common sense and understand why enforcement of borders is important. Until that time, you should probably refrain from voting since you lack the common sense to choose people to lead our country.

DP. Republicans refuse to grant amnesty to the millions of illegal immigrants already in the country - something Democrats are insisting upon. Maybe if Democrats would get it through their tiny brains that this is not going to happen, then they could move on to securing the border. And no, "more judges and court space" is not what is called for. What IS needed is a change to the law regarding who is eligible to apply for asylum in the first place. Hint: it's not economic migrants in search of jobs.

All we need at the border is a fleet of buses to take these migrants back to either their home countries or the first country they initially passed through on their way to the US. That's it.

So you want another 100-300 million people to come here from wherever they want. Most of them will be poor and uneducated. We already have quite a few Russians, Chinese, African migrants coming here as well as Latino.


So a few questions.


Where will they all live. We have a housing shortage right now and 100’s of thousands of homeless people. There are not enough builders out there to built that many homes, even if they wanted to.

Most of the country is empty in the Midwest as there are no resources there. Look at what’s happening in Nevada with water shortages. You put people in places there is no way to get electricity or water and what do you think will happen?

Also, many of these people will need education, so how many schools will need to be built and hospitals for medical care. But WAIT!!! We have a shortage of teachers and doctors right now, where are we magically getting these people.



You need immigrants to come to this country, yes. But it must be in a controlled manner to everyone can get help. Look at NYC that has merely 100k migrants and they are sleeping on street.
