STA has 80 boys per class give or take and fields the best tennis, golf, and running teams and has a pretty good baseball team. You know how many that siphons off? Your school of 900 boys just played a team distilled from about 40 total lacrosse players across 4 classes.

And last year, there were over 30 boys who went to Ivys, and the likes of Duke, Georgetown and Williams. Throw in UNC, Notre Dame, UVA and its over 40. Of course those kids took and submitted their tests scores.

STA Mom got TRIGGERED!

Poor STA lost to previous winless St Anne's-Belfield (1-5). STA moves to 5-3, but their 5 wins come against teams that have a total of 4 wins combined.

Yeah but they have less to choose from. They have a world renowned music program. Oh and other teams as well!

Don’t forget about the 16 players on a golf team.

Speaks better hit the HS transfer portal as things don't that drastically better in 2025 either.

I thought SJC landed one of the top players from the Hawks 28 team?

That kid is a game changer.

SJC down to talking about eight graders…

Wes got a little full of himself with the schedule he put together.

SJC has little offense this year.

And Yes, I do think Good Counsel will give them a very close gsme.

Pretty sure he didn’t assume that the #1 player in the class would be injured during this portion of the schedule. Shame that the best player in the area isn’t able to play right now.

Local teams like SJC, Gonzaga, Prep and Landon play a national schedule every year regardless of how good their team is projected to be in a given year. That allows them to have an opportunity to finish a season highly ranked when they have great teams. It’s called having a program.

How would you know? He hasn't played in 2 years. My guess is he probably won't play in college either.

He reminds me a lot of Epstein with Landon. Had a ton of talent on the team when he was younger and an incredibly dominant face off in Shockey. Stats and team record plummeted his last year. He was too small to keep any momentum in college.

Is this the Hawks 28 lefty attack or the Delaware goalie?

Disagree with the Epstein comparison. Epstein was 185 lbs as a senior at Landon / freshman year at Hopkins where. He was named the Big10 rookie of the year, and took Hop to the Big10 finals where they ultimately lost to Maryland.

Unfortunately Epstein suffered a knee injury the spring of his freshman campaign and truly never recovered from it. Not to mention Petro was fired and a brand new coaching staff came in with a new offensive philosophy.

Regarding Dunkel, wishing him all the best at the collegiate level.

Getting major minutes at UVA will be tough. They get the top offensive talent every year. Staying healthy at the collegiate level is also a challenge.

Epstein wasn't on that team when Hopkins went to the FF in 2016. He was on the 2019 - 2022 teams.

He was really good (set the Hopkins goal and points record for a freshman) His knee injury really did him in. It wasn't considered a really bad one at the time (not an ACL or anything) but he never really recovered after it -maybe the inability to adequately rehab from it during COVID was a reason. Not sure why. He then decided to not take an extra year and just graduated from Hopkins. I have no inside knowledge but it sounded like a case of just being burned out from lacrosse. Wish him and Dunkel the best.

Does anyone think GZ can shock the lax community tonight and upset Culver?
