Epstein wasn't on that team when Hopkins went to the FF in 2016. He was on the 2019 - 2022 teams.

He was really good (set the Hopkins goal and points record for a freshman) His knee injury really did him in. It wasn't considered a really bad one at the time (not an ACL or anything) but he never really recovered after it -maybe the inability to adequately rehab from it during COVID was a reason. Not sure why. He then decided to not take an extra year and just graduated from Hopkins. I have no inside knowledge but it sounded like a case of just being burned out from lacrosse.
