2024 Boys Private School Results /Game Schedules/ Commentary

They kept it close with BL on Tuesday ….

If they can play like they did on Tuesday, anything is possible.

Epstein did what most people do. Used lacrosse to get him to school to best set himself up for his future. Lacrosse is great, but it is limited. There is life past lacrosse.

Wes got a little full of himself with the schedule he put together.

SJC has little offense this year.

And Yes, I do think Good Counsel will give them a very close gsme.

Pretty sure he didn’t assume that the #1 player in the class would be injured during this portion of the schedule. Shame that the best player in the area isn’t able to play right now.

How would you know? He hasn't played in 2 years. My guess is he probably won't play in college either.

You obviously dont know. He played all season last year. Been torching the same dudes you see on sats since frosh year. Sucks to see any kid miss their senior year but a lock that he will play in college.

He reminds me a lot of Epstein with Landon. Had a ton of talent on the team when he was younger and an incredibly dominant face off in Shockey. Stats and team record plummeted his last year. He was too small to keep any momentum in college.

Disagree with the Epstein comparison. Epstein was 185 lbs as a senior at Landon / freshman year at Hopkins where. He was named the Big10 rookie of the year, and took Hop to the Big10 finals where they ultimately lost to Maryland.

Unfortunately Epstein suffered a knee injury the spring of his freshman campaign and truly never recovered from it. Not to mention Petro was fired and a brand new coaching staff came in with a new offensive philosophy.

Regarding Dunkel, wishing him all the best at the collegiate level.

Getting major minutes at UVA will be tough. They get the top offensive talent every year. Staying healthy at the collegiate level is also a challenge.

No chance he was 185 at 5’7”. My kid played with him on that team. Great high school player who couldn’t run through 210 lbers at the next level. It’s not a knock and he has a jhop degree. Dunkuel will be similar.

Dunkel has already shown he is injury prone.

Every year UVA brings in 1 - 3 offensive players who are just as good as him if not better.

The older Millon was fairly injury prone in high school. Now doing well for UVA . . .

Epstein was taller than 5'7 and was a good IAC high school linebacker. 185 seems reasonable.

He also had a great senior high school season, just not the video game numbers that 2017 Landon had when they had the ball for entire games at a time.

Between injuries (he had another injury besides the knee), coaching change, he never got back to the path he was on. Won't be the last kid to have injuries derail things.

With Dunkel's game being so reliant on explosive burst, it will be interesting to see how he returns from a series of young injuries. Wish him all the best, fun player to watch.

Unlike SJC, Gonzaga team will show some grit tonight.

They won’t beat culver but they will make it a dog fight.

Culver 12
Gonzaga 7

The gsme will be closer than the final score suggest.

Doubtful but Culver will be on game 3. Could be lucky scheduling for Gonzaga. Think they may score 5. And Culver will get to 20.
