So in today's Twitter news, Elon Musk for some reason unbanned notorious white supremacist and Groypers leader Nick Fuentes, and in the span of the next few hours, Fuentes managed to make several anti-semitic comments, claimed the jews were behind 9/11 and praised Hitler.

This was quickly reported to Twitter and raised by German Twitter users - it is illegal to promote anti-semitism on social media under German law. Nick Fuentes was again suspended as a result, having only been active for 24 hours.

What is Elon thinking? Did he seriously think that Nazis would behave if he unbanned them?

He was most likely HOPING for some controversy or the other to drive traffic. Trump's playbook - any publicity is good publicity.

He probably didn't know that it was illegal, and that he would be forced to ban him again.

The team that 'handled' it before Musk appeared to be protecting it. Specific requests were being ignored and the requester told it was not a violation.
