Why so low?

It's a tip. They don't want to be confused as having played an actual part in the event.

Isn’t the reward 50K? Why not just collect the reward unless you’re also sketchy or involved?

But the house wasn't robbed and Nancy's captors don't seem to know how to ask for a ransom in a credible way. So what was the point? This isn't a normal crime.

You’re trying to make sense of a suspect who is certainly mentally ill plus very likely addicted to hard narcotics — with nothing to lose. They are not rational. You can’t make sense of their behavior. Robberies, burglaries, and home invasions “turn bad” all the time. There’s a lot of wickedness out there and only a sliver of it ever even makes the news.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it is just some dude obsessed with Savannah and wanted to get her attention. A lot of these celebrities have crazy obsessed fans who will do anything to get their attention.

No that’s not normal. They would make an arrest if he’s guilty. This FBI is incompetent and trying to lead by bias. That woman on CNN yesterday seemed really annoyed the fbi ransacked her home without a warrant. She didn’t even know who Savannah was

As she should be. No one should be searching your home without a warrant.

Kash Patel is 0/0. He messed up with Charlie Kirk, the Brown University shooting, and now this. When is he getting fired?

His job is to protect Trump from being investigated by the FBI. Not to investigate crimes against the rest of the country. So, never.

Bingo.

The seam across the chest, sealed zippers, the thickness of the material (you can see this in the sleeves)....

I challenge any of you to find that coat online. (And no, it's not Nike, which is what everyone is saying.).

It's not. Don't be sloppy.

Yes, Fedex has a stripe across the front, but it's wider than this one. They don't have sealed seams. They are not lined with fleece in the sleeve.

I wish I took a screenshot of it, but somebody identified the jacket in a comment on one of those Twitter threads. If I find it, I will come back and post the link. It was identical and it was not a brand that I know.

Man, that certainly looks like the jacket. Never heard of that brand - hopefully it is obscure enough to track down purchases.

This is not remotely the jacket. Look at the location of the stripe. Look at the wrist band construction. Look at the fleece material on the close-up in the photo and the nylon-like fabric of the link. People. Stick to your strengths. This is not f*#&ing Blues Clues.

First thought? Easier to take her (living along, not able to fight anyone off , likely not able to fire a gun in self defense if caught off guard by an intruder). Taking one of Savannah's siblings would be much riskier- married, younger, stronger, might be armed, might have better security systems being younger and more tech savvy. Obviously taking Savannah would be the most difficult. If they were targeting her family for some reason (mental illness obsession with Savannah for example) the 84 year old mother is the obvious target IMO.

The mother was also on her show fairly recently, I think.

I don't think that is it. If you look closely at the video, you can see an uncuffed sleeve, that the jacket is very thick, and has what looks like a fleece liner.

It’s such an incredibly nondescript outfit that he chose, probably for this reason. No logo, no strange pattern, just a plain grey fleece.

I watch almost everyday and I follow the today show on instagram. Her mom has not been there in a long time. Also Savanah just recently came back to the show because she had vocal chords surgery.

What’s notable about the outfit is how tight everything is. He must have learned from prior mistakes- maybe loose clothing caught in a nail? I’d be looking at prior kidnappings where a scrap of clothing was found on scene

But it's not really nondescript. It's very very unique.

Here is what I see:

1.Sealed zippers that zip to chin like a ski jacket
2. Zipper is black and shiny, but backing is white (this could be an illusion because it was an IR video)
3. Dark color (could be red, grey, blue etc) with light inside cuffs.)
4. looks like windproof fleece material
5. Material is very thick- like an inch thick (see cuff shots)
6. Single, black pinstripe across chest about ¼ inch, looks shiny. It could be a seam. Pinstripe goes across chest completely straight.
7. Zip pockets on the sides with pull tabs
8. Possibly a pinstripe down the side of the jacket
9. Cuffs are not elastic. Cuffs are loose. Cuffs have white fleece on the inside. The jacket is very very thick.
