The Hardy parents should be all over having Mayor Barry-Bowser fix up the Ellington field for Hardy kids ASAP. They should also demand that DCPS build a larger field on the Hardy grounds. This would mean that the staff would have to give up their free parking and ride the bus like a lot of commuters do every day past Hardy, or get the mayor to pay for putting parking under the new field, as DCPS has done for a number of other schools.

Refurbishing the Ellington field would only cost tens of millions of dollars if DC turns it over to the same crooked crowd — mayoral cronies, chiselers, worthless section 8a front contractors - who managed to bilk DC taxpayers out of tens of millions of dollars in cost overruns and balloon the Total cost of the Ellington school renovation to nearly $200 million .... for 500 students.

I'm not sure how this addresses the point that the Hardy parents caterwauling about this are using the Boys and Girls Club as a convenient stalking horse, when their real interest has absolutely nothign to do with the boys and girls clubs.
