Rand is a doctor, yet he wouldn’t wear a mask and acknowledge COVID til he got it himself and spread it through the Senate. Imbecile. |
Normally I would advise folks not to get swept up in a candidate from a state with a weak Dem state party. Dems needs stop throwing money at candidates that don’t have a chance in hell winning. Dems were NEVER going to unseat McConnell. But Charles Booker is exceptional and not that I think he can unseat Rand, but I can’t wait to see the contrast between him and Rand. Government should work for working people vs. destroy govt (except pay my salary). |
I hope so. But the fundamental demographics of Kentucky are still discouraging. For example, I thought Jamie Harrison was a much stronger candidate than Warnock and Ossoff. But Georgia was far more purple than South Carolina, so Harrison lost. |
That is my point! Jamie Harrison was a great candidate but SC Dems haven’t done the work. GA has through 10 years of on the ground organizing. Flipping a seat is much more than a great candidate. good voter files, coalitions who work together not staking out their little turf… this matters. Booker won’t flip this seat but the race will be good to watch. If you want to give money, it’s much better spent for WI Dem party to beat Ron Johnson. Or give to Black Voters Matter. These groups will give Dems the best chance of keeping House & Senate in 2022. |
Sorry, that's not a amazing ad. It's a great for social justice types, but not for a general population. |
Yes, but to be fair it's not entirely the SC Dems fault. They are weak because there are so few Democrats in SC. And there are so few Democrats in SC partly because the state party is week. Georgia is so much more purply diverse. |
It’s not about fault, it’s about being strategic. Dem leaders gave false hope that they could flip SC, KY to raise tons of $$$. That money would have been MICH better spent on ground level organizing. They wasted millions on last minute TV which does nothing. |
At this point, given polling and actual manipulation by ES&S voting machines used in SC and KY, I am skeptical that McConnell and Graham actually won. |
This is where I am. |
This is the purpose of questioning election integrity. Once doubt is sown, people are more easily corralled into extremist views and behavior like coups. Interesting that even those on the left have doubts about election integrity. This does not bode well at all. |
Have you read anything about the ES&S machines? they are everything Dominion actually isn't in terms of hackability. |
+1 For one example: SC has ES&S machines, and that decision was made secretly, against the strenuous objection of people who would know better. https://www.thestate.com/news/politics-government/election/article246806162.html RCP listed the Graham/Harrison race as a toss-up. Graham won by 10.3%. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2020/senate/sc/south_carolina_senate_graham_vs_harrison-7083.html What we have here with the GOP’s obsession with “election security” is a two fold benefit for them: 1) they get to keep cheating and 2) fewer Democrats will question them for fear of looking like a GOP crazy. They are telling on themselves again. Listen to their projection for what it is: an admission of guilt. The Graham/Harrison race was not the only one in which the GOP candidate vastly outstripped the polling. Why do you think the GOP is above cheating when they do it a thousand different ways? |
Am and very liberal and very active and I can tell you, Dems lost those seats. NO WAY McGrath could win in KY, she couldn’t even win when she ran for House. Yes ppl hate McConnel but they hate Dems more. Please stop with the conspiracies. Dems need to Do. The. Hard. Work. I hate the GOP. It they were smart to invest in state and local elections and build their brand. Dems come around every 4 years (2 now) and expect to win. |
I used to live in Ohio. Josh Mandel is a perpetual candidate and the definition of an empty suit idiot. I would actually be surprised if he got the nomination on the R side because I don’t think he’s the preferred choice of the R party machine in Ohio, I thought that was Jane Timken. Who to be fair is also an empty suit and has never held elected office. But she married a rich dude so that’s what’s important! |
