Normally I would advise folks not to get swept up in a candidate from a state with a weak Dem state party. Dems needs stop throwing money at candidates that don’t have a chance in hell winning. Dems were NEVER going to unseat McConnell. But Charles Booker is exceptional and not that I think he can unseat Rand, but I can’t wait to see the contrast between him and Rand. Government should work for working people vs. destroy govt (except pay my salary).[/quote]
I hope so.  But the fundamental demographics of Kentucky are still discouraging.  For example, I thought Jamie Harrison was a much stronger candidate than Warnock and Ossoff.  But Georgia was far more purple than South Carolina, so Harrison lost.

That is my point! Jamie Harrison was a great candidate but SC Dems haven’t done the work. GA has through 10 years of on the ground organizing. Flipping a seat is much more than a great candidate. good voter files, coalitions who work together not staking out their little turf… this matters.
Booker won’t flip this seat but the race will be good to watch.
If you want to give money, it’s much better spent for WI Dem party to beat Ron Johnson. Or give to Black Voters Matter. These groups will give Dems the best chance of keeping House & Senate in 2022.[/quote]
