It seems hypocritical to me as a society.

Cause she’s pushing a lie.
Outside of the paid professional entertainment industry most trans men/trans women ain’t fooling nobody.
We see that 5 o’clock shadow and those masculine shoulders we know damn well your ass wasn’t born a woman.
BUT...despite knowing that Awww respect the fact that you aren’t passing to make things easier you are actually running headfirst into more drama and struggle because people are going to reject you.
That teacher bitch didn’t run headfirst towards struggle all those years she was hiding.
Now her bitch ass is gonna experience some struggle in life for a change and I hope it comes ten fold.

Do some research. They may not be fooling anyone, but they are taking full advantage.

And trans persons are out here getting killed for taking advantage of it. That’s running headfirst into struggle this tired bitch with a bad accent has been running FROM struggle her whole mixed up life and pretending to have so much knowledge of struggle but all the while the sad bitch was hiding in fear and shame from struggle. She’s a c*** I hope somebody whups her ass.

Look at the male to female athletes competing against biologically born females. Are you a biologically born female? What are your thoughts on this?

Are you really this dense?

She traded on the discrimination that she supposedly faced. She used her overcoming of “adversity” to further her career. See also: stolen valor.

How is that different from men who identify as women and then get promoted in male-dominated fields, using their overcoming the adversity of being "trans" and a "woman" to further their careers?

From all accounts, Jessica Krug lived as a black woman for years. She wasn't living multiple lives, she didn't have a "safe white place" she hung out in in her off hours. Why doesn't that "count" ?

Poor, black, trans women are getting killed. White, MC/UMC trans women are benefiting from it. The rates of trans deaths are highly stilted because of the number of impoverished trans women of color who engage in sex work (sex work for females also disproportionately makes them victims of violence of murder).

When women look askance at MC/UMC white trans women getting promotions, winning elections, and gaining power, seeming to trade off of their identity, those MC/UMC white trans women are quick to hide behind poor trans women of color to deflect criticism.

But go ahead and defend them.

Conversely, how many white people are culturally appropriating black culture and not benefiting at all from it? How many black people are acting “white” and benefiting from it? This is all nonsense.

Stop being obtuse.

She claimed multiple identities/ethnicities/backstories—including that her mother was raped by a black man.

No one is disputing that she lied, however how does that affect her ability to do a job? She was qualified. If we start going down this rabbit hole, we may find many people aren’t what they claim to be.

While she was qualified, she is not capable of speaking about her experience as a Black Latina woman. Any such narrative would be fictional.

Everyone has skeletons. But usually lies are thr exception, not the norm. This woman's entire life was an offensive lie.

I bet you never lied in your life?

It’s a question of ethics and integrity. If she taught chemistry, it would still be unethical to continually lie to your students and colleagues. Teaching the history of the black diaspora and claiming an ethnicity and heritage that is not yours is unconscionable.

The material/status motivations for a con like this are beyond obvious. When there are benefits to telling a lie, a liar will take advantage of them.

Unfortunately, the trolls on this thread are going to insist that everyone has lied at some point and therefore unqualified. That's why I have the qualification that she cannot lie about personal experience she could not have experienced. She used her "ethnicity" to add additional weight to her arguments. No, that's not right but it happens when discussing social issues.

Has anyone heard from her? Her article read so much like a suicide note. I obviously don’t know her, but I worry about her.
