Trump and Hitler have no similarities. The argue is just so absurd. |
You’re going to tell these Holocaust survivors that their “argue” is absurd? A president responsible for such an atrocity exposes a level of cruelty that has no limits. His family soon found themselves among 29,000 Jews in Kovno's locked ghetto, which was established after German troops occupied the town. A candidate spewing venom and demagoguery at every opportunity. A gullible electorate willing to blame minority citizens for perceived economic and social ills. Adolf Hitler in 1933, Donald Trump in 2016. One and the same. Jay resident Jim Haig submitted that letter in response to Donald Trump, the pugnacious real estate developer whose campaign for the Republican presidential nomination has drawn comparisons to totalitarianism due to the candidate’s rallies, which are being marred by physical confrontation and inflammatory rhetoric. La Rocque responded with her own handwritten letter, which appears in this week’s edition. The North Creek resident called Haig’s perspective “a very fine observation.” “I am 89-years-old and an immigrant from Europe who lived with the horrors of the 1930’s and 40’s,” La Rocque wrote. “I still have the scars Hitler forced on us.” https://www.suncommunitynews.com/articles/the-sun/local-wwii-survivor-recounts-parallels-between-fascism-trump/ |
Certainly if you choose to put your head in the sand you won’t see a thing. |
Doubt the MAGAs would read any of these statements... |
they have already proven they won't, as this was already posted and referred back to in this thread |
I am. Surviving the holocaust does not make them the arbiters of truth. It means they survived the holocaust. That’s it. Trump is not remotely hitler. Rational people know this. |
You are correct. Attempting to use fallacies such as appeal to authority and appeal to emotion do not mean the argument is correct. You can find just as many holocaust suvivors that would say Trump isn't Hitler. |
Be my guest. |
It's not just absurd -- it is insulting to anyone who had to deal with Hitler. Some on the left have lost their senses and their basic decency. |
There’s a long list above of people who “had to deal with Hitler” making the comparison. |
according to trumpkins, those people don't count and we're all crazy to acknowledge their existence (and to be concerned about their warning) |
And there is a much longer list of people who had to deal with Hitler and think Trump is the best US President in a while -- go spend some time in Israel. Please don't hide behind other people. If you have an argument to make, make it yourself like grownup people do. |
Historians have made connections, too, but I guess they are just looney libs, right? |
Surely those people have written essays about it that you can link, right? Specifically saying that Trump isn’t anything like Hitler and that the comparisons by their fellow Holocaust survivors are absurd? Not convenient for me to spend time in Israel right now. TIA! |
