Similarities between trump and hitler

What is abundantly obvious from reading posts on this thread is that the Russians have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams.

Their goal was to sow discord and mistrust in Americans. Instead of focusing on the enemies outside our borders, their aim was to cause Americans to seek a mythical enemy from within.

I'd say they were incredibly successful.

Yes, however the GOP and Trump has leveraged and perpetuated that distrust (another similarity with authoritarian leaders). Trump spews hatred toward his opponents, including “liberals” and Democrats. He does not represent all Americans and instead divides and dehumanizes citizens who are Democrats. Never mind that he threatens to imprison his political opponents...

I get my information from the results of FOIAs filed. No Russians involved

And the NYT faced criticism and quickly apologized. Trump? Trump supporters? The fundamental difference is that Democrats try to live up some moral standards, and are willing to criticize our own when deserved. Your tribe is simply defensive all the time and acts like the victim which it is not.

+1. We hold each other accountable, and admit when we screw up. Unlike Trump and his supporters.

“His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never accept blame; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; repeat it frequently enough people will believe it.”

That’s Hitler's psychological profile in a report prepared during the war by the United States Office of Strategic Services.

Again, Hitler's "other" was Jews.

Trump's "other" are brown and black people and Muslims (except the ones who fund him, like the Saudi's)

It is a broad comparison, not a one to one that seems to be your takeaway. Look a little broader than yourself.

Here are polls of churchgoing Trump voters on their opinions of Muslims in 2016 versus 2017. Trump’s demonizing propaganda is working.

Terrorism doesn’t help

White male, largely Christian, terrorists have been responsible for nearly all of the mass shootings in this country in last several years. But still some people are brainwashed to think Muslims are the one doing the killing.

No link for this "poll"?

“Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it."

"All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach."

"How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think."

"The leader of genius must have the ability to make different opponents appear as if they belonged to one category."

"The broad masses of a population are more amenable to the appeal of rhetoric than to any other force."

"It is not truth that matters, but victory."

"Success is the sole earthly judge of right and wrong."

"The victor will never be asked if he told the truth."

"Strength lies not in defence but in attack."

"I use emotion for the many and reserve reason for the few."

"As soon as by one's own propaganda even a glimpse of right on the other side is admitted, the cause for doubting one's own right is laid."

We've seen these tactics before. All quotes by Adolf Hitler.

In 2016, most if not all US corporations backed Clinton.

I assume you have something to back that up with?

I love the irony of people who love to talk about goebbels then not seeing the eerie similarities between the rise of Hitler and the Nazis and the current dictator wannabe and his merry band of idiots.
