Predictable because it's often how opioid addictions begin. And he has a family history of addiction, and clearly was aware of that and tried hard not to even take the pain pills, but couldn't. Seems predictable, but all too common these days. |
+1 People are complaining that various aspects of the show are not realistic enough yet here is a very realistic storyline & people are still complaining! The writers really can't win (at least not among the DCUM crowd). |
You are probably too young to get the Flashdance reference. ![]() |
PP, I thought of the ice bucket challenge but yeah Flash Dance make sense too! |
I was so glad Toby didn't have the bartender play "She's Having My Baby". What a yack-fest that would have been.
I think Kevin is going to steal a prescription pad from the ex-wife/girlfriend so he can get more drugs. Randall is so WEIRD. Staring at Deja, waiting to knock her hand away from the shrimp? He is abnormally awkward. Remind me: what happened to Jack's mother? She's never in the story, just the asshole dad. |
I think the latest episode was more on line with last year. |
Are we assuming Jack's brother died in Vietnam? |
Yes |
I feel like Season 1 had me ugly crying after every episode. This one I'm struggling to pay attention the entire hour. I hope it picks up soon. |
Is she a doctor? I thought she was a nurse. And yes, I'm aware that women can be doctors. |
Glad I'm not the only one! |
+1 Last season, Randall annoyed me, but this season he's hysterical. So funny. Kevin is also *really* unexpectedly funny. And the montage of Toby in the coffee shop this last episode had me rolling. He doesn't annoy me as much as he annoys other PPs, but I do hate the way his mouth is always open. But that Hootie and the Blowfish montage was awesome. |
DP. I agree, the water was too much, but I thought the dancing around the pole was hilarious. |
Can someone tell me what the gala was for and why she was a major part of it? I thought she was just a nurse. (No offense meant to nurses, but it seemed strange.) |
She is a doctor |
