How many unemployed citizens? Would people move for jobs if there were less federal social safety nets? |
yeah, yeah....1.4 million of the 12 million illegal immigrants pay taxes using TINs....barely 10%. The vast majority are paid under the table, while costing law-abiding Americans $100 billion+ a year! or approximately 10% of the amount these illegals paid in. |
They take far more than they provide. Few pay any taxes.
Even the ones who file returns usually commit tax fraud by claiming non-existent dependants to inflate the size of their return. |
the biggest beneficiary of illegal immigrant labor is by far TX business owners and overwhelmingly R farmers. |
Jorge Ramos, darling of Univision, calls for open borders. The democrats he interviews typically agree -- particularly when the interview is in Spanish. We have a real problem, and apparently no political will to fix it. |
There is no political will when too many business people are profiting from it, and these same people are giving gobs of money to politicians. Thanks conservative SCOTUS for killing campaign finance reform. |
I am a legal immigrant. Did my master in the US, have been employed in big firms all the time, still it took 13 years to get my green card.
The system needs to be fixed. |
You're never going to move the needle if you don't end birthright citizenship and challenge Plyler v. Doe.
As long as Third World Central Americans know they can breed with abandon and then send their teens on trains & airplanes north for free benefits, American public school & free college, they'll keep coming en masse. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plyler_v._Doe |
More like as long as they know that they can get a job here, they will come. |
Isn't every criminal a human being? |
The number of people using TINs is higher than that, and obviously a lot of undocumented people are children too young to work. However, there are plenty of undocumented people being paid under the table. Why do you suppose that is? Who is hiring them? I bet if the businesses or individuals hiring the undocumented workers faced stiff penalties, they'd reevaluate their hiring practices. |
This. Go after the employers, and the problem will be solved. Why dont republicans go after the employers? |
Actually, they do.
Could there be greater enforcement? Probably. Are democrats ready to fund more police and build more prisons? |
Are Rs willing for their taxes to go up to fund this? OH, right, Rs will cut the taxes for the rich and increase it for the middle to fund it. Well, it does make sense for the middle class to fund it since they are the ones who apparently are being hurt by illegal immigrants taking their jobs. |
Yes, of course. And every criminal is due dignity and constitutional protections ps many undocumented immigrants haven't committed any felony crime at all - just misdemeanors. |
