We have heard over and over again that NCS girls are told by the head of school that they should be more lady like and they get angry. They think they should be able to act any way they want.

So, nice try!!

Here is the raw specimen for examination. This poster justifies social control by way of public slut shaming because the girls are unladylike and/ or angry.

So, girls should not be lady like? Ncs should not talk to girls about character ... Only sta? Obviously boys need to learn about character in HS, but so must girls.

Different poster. No one's saying NCS girls should not show character. The problem is that you seem to be pointing to the girls' character as a way to (1) justify the bad behavior of STA boys, and (2) change the subject from an examination of the STA boys' bad behavior.

The boys there have given dances which require that the girls wear revealing unladylike clothes in order to get in. The Sta admin does nothing. So you criticize the girls?

Can you give an example of that?

^The pants dance. All girls were asked to wear yoga pants. Some of the girls changed in bushes outside the school or on their way to the party.

Parents of girls and boys please check bags/backpacks for alcohol and inappropriate clothing.

Revealing unladylike inappropriate yoga pants? Really?

When I was growing up, boys at school snapped girls' bra straps, slapped girls' behinds, and had pin-ups in their lockers, and everybody accepted this as boys being boys. Things are getting better, not worse.

We don't have very much information but there is nothing to suggest that the girls did anything inappropriate. All they did was express themselves in a discussion document. There are no allegations of sexting or misbehavior at all by the girls. I'm pretty sure that if there were, the schools would have said so. They do not miss an opportunity to blame the girls.

The pants dance is real as is the Ho Ho Ho Christmas dance (come dressed like a ho). These are STA dances, not the NCS dances. Yes, I wish the girls had more backbone but its very difficult when your only social opportunities with boys are on their terms.

I would take the grinding out of this because thats the way these kids dance everywhere.

if you only knew what your NCS daughter send my son through snapchat.

some of you NCS parents need to get real.

I'm not defending the STA boys whatsoever but its goes both ways.

Both male and female are making sexual advances towards one another. Whether its in a public setting or in a private setting or via social media (snap chatt, twitter, facebook, instagram etc. etc). Both partiees are at fault.

Sure. Everyone knows that girls are responsible for their own sexual assault.

The allegations aren't about sexual advances they are that when girls expressed how they felt about unwanted sexual aggression they were demeaned by many boys. It would have been perfectly appropriate for a boy to say he has been victimized as well, if that's what you are getting at. But no boy appears to have done that. Instead they piled on.

Why are dances with " Ho" themes allowed by the school? That doesn't make sense.

There is a pattern at NCS and numerous people are posting about it. The administration shames their students and ignores problems in general. They do not respond. At all.
The Board needs to get involved. Something is wrong with the school leadership. Why does the same problem keep reoccurring without solution or interest from the board??

I have a son and a daughter. There is bad behavior on both sides. Parents and chaperones have to help prevent isolated opportunities for inappropriate behavior at parties. It starts with clothing.

When my daughter was in the 8th grade, I suggested she wear a new skirt to a party. She declined because 8th grade boys are perverts. I was clueless as to what was going through the minds of kids this age.
