Can "bad" schools get better?

You can't always fall back on "oh, I am poor so I can't do well" mentality. Look at the Asian kids. A lot of their families came here with nothing in their pocket - myself included. If kids don't take advantage of what's offered to them free of charge, it's on them.

Who is doing this?

All the poor non-Asians! The ones who want hand outs without doing the hard work-Asians lift themselves out of poverty through education-the other "minorities" do not do this sadly...

Where, when, and how, exactly, are all of these poor non-Asians saying, "Oh, I am poor so I can't do well, give me handouts"?

I am perfectly serious. PP says that "all the poor non-Asians" are doing this. I would like PP to provide some specific examples.

Go to a local welfare or WIC office and see who is there---not too many Asians or Whites.....you can waste your time sitting on the welfare line, or you can stop poppin out babies at 15, go to school and study hard and maybe you can do well.

I'm sure if you go to WV (example used by a prior PP), you'd see plenty of whites in the welfare line. It just so happens that in the urban areas, the poor tend to be minorities.

Why are we keep comparing with WV? Is MCPS/MoCo at that level now?

You're dense. You think that makes you great? No, you're hateful trash. Because only trash says things like "poppin out babies at 15." Do you say those things in your "prestigious" job? No, you don't have the balls, because you know it would out you as the trash you really are.

For what it's worth, I've never understood the "popping out" babies business. I've had two babies, and "popping out" is not how I would describe pregnancy and labor. It's the same thing with nursing women who are always apparently "whipping out" breasts. I mean, ouch.

OK. People. I think this thread is DEAD now. Let's go home.
